While it doesn't feel too good to unwelcome to participate fully in this thread, I am grateful that Sick got the season rolling with another great pump-up thread like last year and that Dolphins football is back.

Nothing would be sweeter than a Dolphins opening day win over the Patriots.

I picked the wrong week to stop using Crack. I'm still on Meth though, so I should be fine come game time.

It is 4:50 am here in Maui. I get to watch my first 7:00 am Miami Dolphin game since relocating here this past January.

I can't think of a better way to start the day than to have breakfast while watching the Dolphins play the Patriots. I will miss being at the stadium as I was for the majority of the seasons since 1966. Hopefully the stands will be filled with Dolphin fans and the team will provide the fans with a win.

I look forward to seeing if Tannehill can develop into an elite QB this year. My prediction for the season is another 8-8 record, but as always, I hope the team proves me wrong and they finally get it together and make the playoffs.

My prediction for today is that it will be a high scoring game. The first team to score 30 will be the winner. Hopefully that team will be the Dolphins.

 

I predict Mike Wallace scores a long TD against Revis much like Ted Ginn.

 

Don't always see eye to eye with your posts but I know you genuonely care about the team unlike some other negative posters here. Lets go out and win so we can all finally be happy with this team.

The Pats are looking for their 11th straight opening day win. They're at 10 currently. Let's beat these bastids before they can tie our opening day record of 11 straight years opening with wins from 92 to 2002. The Patriots are 4-3 against the Dolphins on opening day, but are STILL only 15-34 all-time in Miami, including two postseason games.

Prediction for the pats: PAIN!!!

I know I sometimes come off as negative, but all I have ever wanted is for this team to be a winner. I go into this season still questioning if they have enough talent to get into the playoffs, but that doesn't mean I don't want them to win every game they play.

Morning all and Happy Football!

Today's Dolphins inactives: Pouncey, Wheeler, Turner, Fox, Tripp, Gaston, and Fede.

 

En route to the stadium... gunna make sure we dont miss the player intros. So psyched

 

Apparently the secondary is loose for the game today. I hope that's a good thing!

 

Oh it's definitely much more than that. The meaning of this game is significant. There's a QB who needs to demonstrate he's getting over the hump toward greatness, a head coach in his third year who has to prove he can coach a playoff-caliber team, and a new offensive coordinator who's supposed to help both achieve the above with his ingenuity. What's more, the game is the first of the year, at home, as an underdog, in a packed stadium, against a rival that's sat dominantly atop the division for a large part of recent history.

Win, and these things that are supposed to be occurring can be said to have evidence of their beginnings. Lose, and a "here we go again with another mediocre season" will be the sad sentiment.

 

And then here's us mid-way through the 3rd quarter.
