Good call. That is an excellent comparison. McCain can do it all as a LB. Play the run, rush the passer, drop and cover. Talley could too, and so could Biscuit Bennett for that matter. One other reason I like the Cox comparison though, is neither of them really workout very well. Though McCain does have above average straight line speed. Cox played at level far exceeding what his AA said he should be able to do, and so does McCain. JMO.

The only time I have noticed anything resembling lethargy from Jordan is when his first move is thwarted rushing the passer. He can seem frustrated and unsure how to counter.
Other than that, he does not appear lethargic to me at all.

I agree with this. He needs a lot of work using his hands when rushing. I will say he looks a little slow off the ball. I'm not saying he should be Cameron Wake quick, but at this point OV looks a step faster off the ball. Granted, it's preseason.

I re watched the 4 quarter again just to watch McCain and there was one play near the end of the game that he and Jordan blew up the left side and hit the QB just as he was throwing the ball. just imagine combos of Jordan, Wake, OV and McCain at any time just terrorizing the backfield. As for Cox I always loved watching him, you never expected his production, always played with high motor.

I think he is less explosive, but I don't think he is lethargic.

a question, maybe off topic, but I was curious after seeing Stedman Bailey on the Rams and reading about the potential of Landry.... what are the differences between the 2 players and why Landry is bettere?

I ask because I am not an expert and I don't follow collegere football, so I have no idea, but I remember that Stedman was very well considered here, for his hand and route running.

in the end, I am a little bit scary that Landry will be just a good receiver and nothing more and I need some reassurance

There is no reassurance. We don't have crystal balls. Just know Landry has good potential and we'll have to see if he lives up to it. The first glimpses in preseason are encouraging.
