Glad to hear about Gator! He was one of the few I was nervous about. Crazy how many UDFA are making this team... I've never been on board with Dennis Hickey. I didn't like the majority of our draft (Akiens, Lynch, Hazel, Landry > Allen Robinson), but he seems to have found a few gems afterwards with Gator, McCain, Johnson, etc... Kudos to him.

I'm disappointed to hear the trade rumors about Mathews. I know he's been in the dog house a bit, but I like his toughness and hands. What could the dolphins realistically expect in return for him? A 5th?
well, if they do move him, IMO it has to be for a starting guard or linebacker. A starter for us, not necessarily a starter for the team this player is traded from.

The reason was spelled I R E L A N D. He had final say over the roster as the teams GM and that is why Thomas lasted as long as he did. Ireland is no longer with the Dolphins to protect the draft picks he missed on. I suspect that Egnew and Thomas are just the start of the purge of Ireland draftees which will take place over the next couple of years.

two cuts left.. I'd go with Fox and Dallas Thomas.... yeah that leaves us short at OL... but they are easily replaceable.

He's a 5th rounder. No reason to release him off IR. Usually, injury settlements are reached with guys who are waived/injured, then go unclaimed, and then automatically go on to the original team's IR. Such as what happened with Devlin.
whats funny is that a lot of us are paying attention to the cuts and especially who we end up bringing back to our practice squad tomorrow (after noon ET those signings will start rolling in)... but then a few weeks from now, not many of us will care about the practice squad or that we had Ryan Spadola on it last year for many weeks.
Daniel Thomas has not played his last NFL snap that is ridiculous. Egnew may or may not have. He will probably get more preseason snaps in the future but IDK if he will get game action again.

I think we're at 53... no more cuts coming before the deadline. Pouncey is counted on the 53 once he's activated... we didn't need 22 cuts(moves) only 21 by my count assuming MD.com website is correct.. they had 74 players on their roster... Pouncey was down below on the active/pup list. Jones and Jordan don't count on the 53.
