What do we have to get down to today? How many need to be cut?

Ah, the Fogg has been lifted via the Turk. I think Miami was at 75 prior to cutting Kyle Miller, so with he and Fogg I'd assume they're at 73...so 20?

Correct. 20. Although i believe we have Jones and Jordan still to move so that would leave 18. Their suspensions dont count on the 53 in other words.

Yep. Pretty sure that means Damien Williams has made the 53.

New sheriff in town. Hickey has no allegiances to prior regime players. Could Dallas Thomas be next?

I'm hoping so, but I doubt it.

Padre, sorry about Thigpen. But, it's about damn time Daniel Thomas is gone. Good riddance.

Damian too. With Thigpen cut, I think that increases his chances.

Daniel Thomas is not going to make an NFL roster after this... and boy that trade up to get him was stupid...

I definitely think he could make another roster.

I dunno...there seems to be a big log-jam of cut RBs this year. There's a ton of young guys with upside out there. He's going to be hard-pressed to fit in somewhere IMO.

    Boo!

Not surprised though, DTrain being waived is disappointing, he was such a workhorse in college, always dinged up here

TBH, he was to passive in the preseason, that fair catch still bothers me

As a returner, you have to make things happen esp with your job on the line

Now you have to worry about inexperienced returns. Was it Don Jones that was blocked into Thigpen and fumbled last year. Hopefully Landry and Williams secure the ball and escape injuries.

Such a disappointment. Dallas was looking good when he first got here. Something went off and didn't come back on for him.

Naw..I liked him..he just wasnt really used to his best potential..IMO..

Watch the Pats get him and kill us with him...Belichick loves those kind of players

Thigpen was always an average to below average punt returner. When he had a good one, it was a remarkable exception.

Thomas was a power back without power or balance.

    Good luck to both.

Thigpen's strengths are versatility and kick returns. Now that we are loaded at WR and RB, and he muffed a catch, his boat sailed.

Hmm..letting Thiggy go..makes me think we might be signing someone ..

    Ben Jarvis Green Ellis?

There are already several that I'd take over what we have. We'll have options that we should explore at the end of the day.

I thought he was misued tbh, if your one trick is returning kicks for Td's you may want to shine in that role

We may sign a back, but cutting Thigpen is not a sign of that.

And no to the law firm.

Thomas seemed to have everything you would want in a running back physically except he didn't think like a running back

I've been told that Rishard Matthews is "definitely" not being cut today. Team still pursuing trade options, however.

He didn't have a receiver skillset..we can do better than Thigpen if hickey knows what he's doing..
