    Running Back:

What I'm hoping for (Keep 4):

    1. Moreno
    2. Miller
    3. D. Williams
    4. Darkwa

(Cut Thomas). I know this will be a tough call after Thomas got a lot of PT last year. But, personally, I think he is redundant. I don't think he's going to bring anything that Moreno doesn't already bring. He isn't an explosive short yardage back. So, I'd prefer Darkwa because of some potential he brings. I really like D-Will.

(Cut Thigpen). With D.Will as a KR and the other D-Will and Landry being serviceable as PRs, I think Thigpen is surplus. And, he is not a spectacular returner anyway.

One thing I do like about Moreno is that he should be a good veteran leader if he stays healthy. I think if he plays well, then the other players will come in and play with confidence because of his play.

    Wide Receiver:

    I'd keep 6 -

    1. Wallace
    2. Gibson
    3. Hartline
    4. Matthews
    5. Landry
    6. D. Williams

Really like all six. Actually, the one I'm liking the least of these this pre-season is Hartline. He has not looked ready to play, imo. If it wasn't for such a cap hit, I'd actually consider letting him go if there were a big cap savings (but we'd be laden with dead money if we did). Unless he really shows something this year - I think he is gone. Gibson has surprised me as to how ready he is coming back from injury. I really like him along with Matthews, Landry and DWill. The Wallace RT connection is just getting dysfunctional at this point and I place the blame largely on RT.

    Tight End:

    1. Clay
    2. Sims
    3. Hoskins
    4(?) K. Miller

If I keep only three - it's the top 3. But, I've not been impressed by Sims play. That fumble was bad. Hoskins showed on the TD what he can become (kind of a Clay clone - which is not a bad thing to have!). Miller might make it just for blocking purposes. But, I don't see how you let Hoskins go. I think he has potential. Really the only two TEs I like on this team are Clay and Hoskins at this point.

    Quarterback:

    1. Tannehill
    2. Moore
    3. Quinn?

The #3 QB is pretty pitiful at this point. But, it is what it is there.

The bigger question is about how RT will play. I think - because of where he was drafted - you have to go with him as the starter and keep him there to give him confidence. But, as with others, I think Moore seems to play more relaxed and seems to have a better grasp of the offense at this point. I am concerned about RT's confidence and overall field awareness (as I've noted earlier). Hopefully it will click better for him in the regular season. I am rooting for him but just have had some concerns.

The improved OL pass blocking should make a difference.

IMO Thigpen is going to released/traded and then go to a new team and be Danny Woodheadesque or a Lesser Darrin Sproles.

Really agree with everything you said. Except for the concept of cutting Daniel Thomas being "a tough call", heh.

As for the possibility of keeping Kyle Miller I think you slot an unnamed waiver claim in at that 4th spot.

The same may be true of the 3rd quarterback spot. Brady Quinn has already been released so it's Seth Lobato, a waiver claim, or nobody.

Just saw this. My bad. So, I guess it's Lobato. Still nothing special there.

He did make our DBs look good in practice and build their confidence - so, I guess that is his main contribution! ;)

Would you rather just roll with two qbs? Extra roster spot could be good.

All I care about is making sure we roster the young defensive lineman and linebackers. I don't to risk losing promising guys at those spots.

With expanded practice squad you could sign a QB there, so why not go with 2?

That's pretty much what is expected at this point.

I would not go with 4 RBs and 4 TEs. because I don't see a point in that. I would keep the 3rd QB and that would be Lobato. He is very shaky and unsure in the pocket coming from small school, but he throws nicely.

Could be, keep in mind they let Reggie Bush walk and he tore the league up in Detroit last yr, that is simply not the type of back they want.

Think our Te corps is weak outside of CC9, lots of physical potential but weak

We are in the happy scenario of being able to pick a #3 Qb

May not be popular, but think it is Wlliams v Darkwa for the #4 Rb, and Thomas sticks

Sadly, Reggie Bush is EXACTLY the type of back we want...it wasn't the back we wanted two years ago at that price tag. Miller was expected to be his equal or better, which was the only reason we made that move. With the horrendous line issues though and the sparse runs last season, it's anyone's guess how talented Miller really is.

Considering the fact the Dolphins really don't have a legitimate third QB on their roster at this time, I would much rather see this third QB position be utilized to keep a player at another position.

If Tannehill and Moore both go down with injuries, this team won't win another game during the season. So keeping a non productive third QB on the active roster really doesn't make any sense at all.

I honestly don't know why any team carries more than two for that same reason.

Hell, there are some fools who think we won't win another game if just Tannehill gets hurt.
