I suspect we will be reading that the Dolphins cut Wilson and signed someone else in the next couple of weeks. The Dolphins need someone to come in and take practice snaps at the TE position and that is Wilson for the time being.

Damn for a second I thought they meant Evan Moore and I was going to be intrigued.

Evan Wilson's a rookie UDFA out of Illinois. Big guy with average athleticism. That's all I got.

I thought the C grade drafts would end with a new GM....I was wrong.

    Way early for that obviously.

Jordan Tripp and Terrence Fede looked impressive. And I don't think that's just fan hope/hype. I'm not really prone to that sort of thing. They were just impressive. Billy Turner has a future if he can overcome his tendency to play high.

Not to mention the guys that will start game 1 from the draft. Haters gonna hate.

Yeah but just being slated to start from Game 1 doesn't really say anything (ahem, Jonathan Martin).

I was as bullish on JaWuan James as anyone you'll find. You will find (if you look) posts of me gushing about James 15 months before he was drafted, back when nobody even acknowledged he was a draftable pro prospect. Everyone was onto Antonio Richardson back then. But the fact of the matter is the Dolphins drafting him with the idea of making him a Game 1 starter says almost nothing about the guy.

That's partly my point though. James / Landry have impressed, not just us, but several people including fans, media, analysts, etc. Time will tell of course, but in initial quality, this at least "appears" to be a good draft.

To jump out calling it a "C" draft is more than a little silly.

It's easy to impress the people that have been impressed. Play the games and impress on tape. That's the way you start to prove the draft is better than a "C". Which by the way wouldn't be such a bad draft. Grade inflation on draft grades is incredible. It's like if you get a "C" then that's a huge insult. It just means average. The new average on a grade inflation basis is basically a "B+" and anything short of that, fans start crying about it.

As is your negativity and sh*tty attitude. Go cheer the Jets if you are already convinced this a C draft, or stop being an F poster.

Right...it has to play out to really be able to grade it...more to my point, calling it a "C" right now, with attached negativity, is silly.

Or are you saying everybody is "C" until a season or two prove different? I could certainly see that angle.

This is probably a more reasonable viewpoint to have than taking automatic insult when someone calls your draft a "C" draft.

It's got to play out. I'd say there are good early returns on Terrence Fede and Jordan Tripp. Mixed on everyone else.
