Well, he did lead the offense on that FG drive.

 

It was, but Atlanta didn't challenge it. It was ruled a catch on the field.

Lazor is nothing special, no different than some other OC we've had, prone to brain farts.
Oline looked good pass blocking, drew even on run blocks. Second line is bad. Skill positions were excellent.
Defense disappointed, first unit sucked. Second team was obviously better.
Lobato can sling it nicely.
It was encouraging to see Landry return the punt, maybe he can do that full time and well.
Did not see the fast offense which I expected, maybe they are keeping it for reg season, who knows?

 

Ah. Confusing because the announcers were clueless and called it a drop.

Looked like a drop but the refs decided it wasn't and ATL didn't review it

 

It was obvious Lazor dialed back after the first drive. Also in what world was Lobato any good?

That...and the first drive didn't show everything either...it's pre-season game 1 FFS. Even then, that first possession was fast.

It's the first freaking preseason game... do you think he's going to use his entire playbook? Judge him after a few real games... Chip Kelly wasn't running the score in his preseason games... and his offense didn't actually start to click until a quarterback change.

The offense we saw from Tannehill really did not look anything like last year's offense. I find it strange someone would be down on Lazor after that drive. I think it was finally a reason for optimism here.

pass rush has been pretty non-existent. I was really hoping for more out of Dion Jordan...

He was ready to hit Matt Ryan until Wheeler committed that dumb penalty. He sprang Aaitui on a nice stunt against the 2's.

I like the look of Gillislee a lot more this year so far, didn't run anywhere near that decisive last pre-season.

It was an all out blitz and Jordan was the unblocked man. The play was a completed catch for a 1st down no less.
Yes, he did help spring a player for a pressure, but again, he's really done very poorly 1-on-1 against 2nd team players.
