    We've come a long way from "not, 1, not 2, not 3...."

Now it's, "maybe 1, hopefully, but probably not now, **** be hard man"

The LeBatard show is just in top form right now.

    Just great stuff.

Hope LeBron hears about ti and shows a sense of humor. Not that big a deal and it might finally get through his thick skull that he should have thanked the fans.

    AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA! You go, Dan!

Tyler Johnson; Yay! I know he's raw, but who knows for sure; maybe the level of competition ups his own game.

Is his contract guaranteed? Partial, maybe in tiers like Hamilton?

Why would Dan be in trouble with ESPN?

There is nothing vulgar in the billboard, Mike Ryan won't be doing anything vulgar. The NBA is not mentioned anywhere.

Think the board should've said something like "Welcome home. You left your rings in Miami" or something like that. The copy comes off as Miami winning the rings for LeBron and it's too easy to flip that to say he won them for Miami.

Not saying he did. Just arguing that if you're going to go through the effort of trolling, don't make it easy for people to flip it on you.

Edit - actually - "Miami, Florida - home of 3 Larry O-Brien Trophies" might be best.

The fine print says "Paid for by Gonzalo 'Papi' Le Batard and Stugotz". Time, of all places, has a great photo here.

Look veeeeeeeeeeeery carefully at the font used in the "You're welcome, LeBron" line.

The flip has already occurred, and the victim is Dan Gilbert.

Very revealing. Suggests that LeBron felt like his stint in Miami was too hard core and pressure-packed.

I mean, there's been about 4 million comic sans jokes over the last 4 years. If that's the master troll? Meh. LeBron is in Cleveland, making fun of The Letter hardly seems devastating.

Just think it could've been a better line. "Home is where the heart is, Miami is where the rings are."

"WE WON YOU THOSE RINGS!" doesn't really get the point across to me. Let's see what Le Batard does on Friday or whenever LeBron holds his Akron homecoming thing.

You actually don't see the joke there? No, it's not a joke about the font selection of Dan Gilbert's moment of honesty. It's a joke about how LeBron was treated by two different fan bases and organizations. It's actually pretty deep.

Disagree on the copy. The whole point on his radio show for weeks has been the "thanks" he never gave.

I think it's subtle and to the point. I like it.

BTW, there are at least now 4 Billboards up. Maybe more coming later.

So he's proving that Miami fans are treating him way better after he left than Cleveland fans by spending tons of money to post passive-aggressive giant-sized billboards outside of LeBron's house? I'm not sure that's hitting the mark.

I don't know what else to say. You aren't getting it. I mean, do you think it's some sort of attack or indignant complaint? It's not.

Maybe it'll help if you listen to the Le Batard show semi-frequently.

Explain it to me. It's commentary on how LeBron never thanked the fans in Miami for his time there, no? And to create a juxtaposition of Heat fans vs Cavs fans? What else am I missing?

Trade news: Knicks move Jeremy Tyler and Wayne Ellington to Sac for Travis Outlaw and Quincy Acy. Kings also get to remove protection 31-37 from 2016 rd pick they already owned as part of the deal. According to USA Today Sam Amico kings will likely use stretch provision on Ellington to create more cap savings this year and waiver Tyler since his contract is not guaranteed.

    That's pretty much it.

It's not a slam of LeBron, per se, just a jab that he wrote this heartfelt letter about people who burned his jersey and pissed on his urinal cake face but couldn't even be bothered to utter a simple "thank you" to the Miami fans who stuck with him and defended him when the weight of the world was on him and this team.

And by the way, what the Miami fans are looking for is not unique and is pretty much standard operating procedure whenever a great/iconic athlete leaves a city, whether by choice or not. Jon Lester and David Price both did it this week.

Ok, was making sure I wasn't missing something major haha.

I mentioned it earlier - LeBron didn't take out an ad when he left Cleveland the first time, either. And waited a month to take place one in the Akron paper. I know Cleveland is a bunch of crybabies and all that, but I'm just pointing out he did the same thing his last time as a FA. So Heat fans maybe shouldn't take it TOO personal.

Weren't the Heat getting booed in their last home game? Maybe he's still pissed. Who knows. I certainly wouldn't accuse LeBron of being the most self-aware athlete in the world. Decent chance the thought never even occurred to him. We're talking about the guy who said he "sometimes spoils people with my play."

Saw this trade earlier, Acy is a nice player and a really good piece to add for the Knicks.

There were fewer people booing then there were that left Game 6, which is to say almost nobody.

I suspect he's trade bait more then any thing else. I've heard rumors the Knicks are still looking for another player and I know Tyler was a player they wanted to bring back so I'm guessing that him getting cut was part of a wink wink deal where Tyler may get invited back to camp once the deal is consummated on August 23rd which I believe is the earliest date it can be done because of Ellington getting moved in the Tyson/Calderon deal. Just playing a hunch here that Acy will end up being flipped before the year is done.

The only caveat is that I don't see this as representing Miami. I just see it as representing Lebatard. For the most part Miami fans seemed to have channeled any disappointment into love and appreciation for Wade. I mean, I think it's funny, but I don't see it as retribution for some slight. Even Lebatard has repeatedly said that he thinks it's funny how much people care about sports. Stu Gotz and Papi might feel some vindictive joy against Lebron here, but I don't and I doubt Lebatard does.

There is a HUGE difference between burning the guy's jersey, making hate-filled signs, and an owners ridiculous comic sans letter, versus fans in Miami poking a little fun at the fact that he never thanked them in his letter.

LeBatard, the guy who's running this show, has constantly said we should all thank LeBron for his time here. If it's a shot at anyone it's the fans in Cleveland he's doing that too after the verbal sparring that went on when LeBron was "deciding" and then the ad guy at the newspaper who tried to act like some sort of tough guy for telling them no, when they weren't even going to take out an ad in the first place.

That's alot of sugar coating if you ask me, act's of butt hurt are acts of butt hurt. And how the owner reacted isn't relevant to this. Obviously there are not many owners who would have pissed and moaned the way Gilbert did.
