All I want is a 2nd round playoff appearance. Is that too much to ask for? I think this team has the potential to be a sleeper but who the hell knows.
Last time we made it to the 2nd round was in 2000 when we got stomped by the raiders, the week after lamar smith ran for 209 against Indy. He had 2 yards the next week
You mean Lamar Smith's animated corpse had 2 yards the next week. They literally ran him until he died in that Colts game. I remember after the game Wannstedt was so excited he jumped on Lamar's back to have him carry him, signifying how he carried the whole team. I'm pretty sure Lamar collapsed and died right there. The player you saw carrying the ball the next week was just his electrified corpse on puppet wires.
So depressing... And to think all the hope when we got Ricky.... And then Wanny proceeds to mortgage the future and draft busts.. Then didn't want to hurt Jay Fiedler's feeling by choosing a video game playing scrub over Brees.
You almost don't even mind what he gave up for Ricky Williams because you know he'd have just picked bad players anyway.
Can you really blame Wanny? He is the perfect example of the scorpion across the river story. Is it really surprising the guy who traded a first round pick for Rick Mirer continued to make terrible decisions. If only Wayne hired a real GM after JJ retired.
Yup.. Plus that bought him time, Ricky hid his deficiencies as a coach.. And he promptly ran him to the ground.
The deep ball **** with Ryan Tannehill is a perfect example of completely lost perspective. The media are pointing out that he connected with Wallace on one deep ball but underthrew another to him, and using that as evidence that Tannehill still needs to improve. Of course, 1 out of 2 on the deep ball is twice the NFL average completion rate, but who needs facts when you've got a good narrative.
http://www.palmbeachpost.com/galler...phins-training-camp-07-25-2014/gCMML/#5778101 Also looks like Will Davis made a really good play on the ball as well.
That picture could go either way. It was noted as an underthrow and I'm not doubting it. The reporters may not have good perspective but they're not blind. If it was indeed an underthrow that means Will Davis got toasted and even with the ball being an underthrow he needed to go sky high to get finger tips on it and break it up. So it's nice he got up for it and broke it up but it'd be nicer if he he didn't let Wallace get so far behind him. Of course you'll notice Wallace chose to slow down and wait for the ball passively instead of seeing the underthrow, stopping, and going up for it (which admittedly, is a tough thing to do). But that's his M.O. so it should hardly surprise us. I just kind of wish the 4th highest paid wide receiver in football would be able to make plays in different ways. Guess that's too much to ask.
I don't disagree with what you are saying. I am just pointing out that Will Davis did make a pretty athletic play to break it up. I also agree with your second statement. However that will just get people to say I don't like Wallace.
I tweeted the Dolphins to see where we can get them. They usually get back to me when I ever ask them about their merchandise.
No injuries, OL and offense looks "rusty" sounds like we will see lots of shuffling at Center which imo needs to be handled quickly. I suspect the bad snaps are a product of the C being asked to do what Pouncey did and they are trying to get a jump, Lazor needs to handle that and quickly
What's the new "bowl"their talking about? Unbelievable that we don't know whether they Are cutting into concrete or not..
I think black pants exactly like that with a white jersey/white helmet trimmed in black might be freaking awesome.
Speed Vent Shorts... free release... no press coverage Thought they looked Gray and not Black... Uniform in that color would be interesting.
$75 dollars for a pair of f#%king shorts!? For that price Joe Philbin should hand deliver the damn things.
Ya... there's a better chance of me being able to beat up one of the players and stealing his shorts than me paying $75 for a pair.
I think we could very well have a team capable of making it to second round of playoffs...we could also have a team where december football is no longer relivant for us. We go as far as the Oline allows us to, IMO. Tannehill behind a good offe sive line is certainly good enough. I just dont know that hes good enough behind a bad one.
Bye the way..Nike WTF? 75 Dollars for a pair of shorts...they shoud be ashamed of themselves. Why put them out of reach for most people...thats insane.
i think I saw the same shorts for around 50 on another site. Still expensive though. Still insane for some gym shorts
