If you think I am kidding... take a look at this Free Agent list. it is ridiculous. http://www.basketballinsiders.com/nba-salaries/nba-free-agents-2016-2017/
I would screw up part of 2016..for Love. But not for Gasol. again.. take a peek: http://www.basketballinsiders.com/nba-salaries/nba-free-agents-2016-2017/
Mike Conley, Durant, Howard, Wade, and Bosh if that happens then we are talking about Wade reaching 6 to be right there with Jordan while Lebron is stuck on 2 or 3.
And if you somehow miss in 2016, there's Westbrook and Griffin in 2017. Or if either of those guys looks like they won't re-sign, a trade would always be available too.
I like Napier. You can see his has talent, even while he struggles. A lot of his bad plays are coming from him trying to do too much, and even more of them are coming from him just being far more creative with a play than his team mates, almost like he sees a play and executes it, but his team mates are not as creative or in sync as he is and they did not see the play, so it fails. He'll struggle a bit as he adapts to the NBA game, but I continue to insist Napier will look a lot better playing with veteran and high basketball IQ players like the Heat have.
No matter what you think of Napier you have to like how he just stays aggressive, his struggles don't phase him.
Give him two to three years, he is going to be something. I blame the players around him, once he gets taught by Wade and Bosh during practice he will be on the right track, no doubt he will be an all star in five years.
Which is shocking because he's always been a solid shooter. That more than anything makes me think maybe he's pressing too hard because the game is moving a bit faster.
He was playing pretty small, smaller than I was looking to see that game, seemed scared to jump on some open opportunities and too willing to press on the wrong ones. I thought he had that shot at the end, but awkward pass led to awkward footing. What did he end on like 2/18 and 1/9 threes?
Still have to like that down the stretch, make or miss, he wanted the ball in the closing minutes. Not just the last shot, but all down the stretch. That is one thing you really can't teach a guy.
There was 4 secs on the clock. He was 2 of 15, and instead of attacking the rim, he goes for a 3, and of course, it's an air ball. Bawz is a dizazter. I wonder if Cleveland would trade for him since LeBron loves his so much. Maybe we can get a 2nd pick back.
Way too soon to call a guy a disaster. He definitely needs a lot of work but at least he's not afraid of the moment. FWIW I'm not sure he realized how much time was on the clock after the steal. Still a mistake either way.
Napier isn't going to see much playing time anyway since he is a rookie and we all know how Riley feels about rookies. Napier needs Wade and Bosh to be his role model.
On Tyler Johnson: It's encouraging that he is a lot like Ennis in the fact that he simply improved each year in college. His FG, FT, and 3PT % went up every single year (barely played his Freshman year so I'll toss that out) from his Sophomore season on. Shows he is receptive to coaching and improving his game. I hope we can keep him by sending him to the D-League or overseas for a year.
Strained groin. He got his contract today, partially guaranteed so they wouldn't risk it. He would have to be a complete disaster in TC and pre season to not make roster. Question is if he can crack regular season rotation
