I actually just realized it is on TV here too. It wasnt last night and due to the time I thought it wouldnt be here. If you have the CSN channel from your provider it is there. I have DirecTV and its channel 642
On the Dan Patrick show, Dan asked Chris Mannix who will have more wins next year between Miami and Cleveland and Chris Mannix said Miami, smart man.
You can stream the Heat game from ESPN. http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index#type/upcoming/sport/basketball/
Absolutely. And it's not homerism nor bitterness; if you know me at all, you know I'm not given to homerism. It's that a roster takes time to gel, and the more inexperienced the starters, the longer the process. Inexperience will also play into big games, clutch moments and especially into the postseason, should Cleveland achieve that.
If Kyrie isn't healthy....it's possible the Cavs are a pretty low seed (5/6). They may have more -potential- than the last time Lebron was there but overall I'd say outside of Kyrie they may be worse. Not sure how Miller impacts that, but now that picture he posted looks like he knew for fact Lebron was leaving. So Mike Miller knew but D-Wade/Bosh/Heat didn't know? Classy.
Bosh and Wade should start doing their press conferences together like Wade and Lebron did. It would be a sign of unity needed now more than ever.
Ethan made a great point today. Bron is going from playing with true professionals to playing with children. I don't think he realizes what he's gotten into
Ah yeah I'm already forgetting about Boozer. So I am guessing that they could still end up making the following moves: 1. Sign Carlos Boozer for the minimum (trading off Justin Hamilton) 2. Sign Brandon Rush/Jamal Crawford for the minimum 3. Sign Jameer Nelson for the minimum (trading off Norris Cole) 4. Re-sign Greg Oden for the minimum Of course 1 and 4 could be an either-or proposition and that could mean Hamilton is traded regardless.
Yep. No matter how good any of their young players turn out there will be a lot of mistakes. Even if all their young guys mature into stars he will be carrying them for 2-3 seasons far more than he ever had to carry Miami load wise.
The Cavs remind me of the Fab 5 of college kind of, young and talented but no experience for the deep round playoffs, don't see them making it to the ECF.
Miller is the first guy to sign with Cavs for less. Is he a harbinger of a sea change or an outlier based on friendship with Bron? I'd bet the latter
Michael Wallace made an excellent point on twitter that Dwyane Wade is on pace to have NEVER been the Heat's highest-paid player at any given time. Which is absolutely astounding.
Hey now. I'm up here too and it definitely has its perks. That being said, I'd give my firstborn to have the heat and phins on local tv. Wiz aren't too bad to watch though.
LeBron James can't compete with Dwyane Wade's ability to lure championship puzzle pieces into playing with him. I'm suddenly recalling an interview I saw Shaq give after winning a championship with Wade in Miami and he made it clear in plain english, I am here because of Dwyane Wade. I wanted to play with Dwyane Wade. He was dead serious and he reiterated it many times. Then of course you've got LeBron and Bosh whom Wade also lured to Miami. Makes you wonder who is next.
Pat Riley: "Luol Deng is one of the most important free agent signings that we have ever had in the history of the franchise." Wow.
Definitely the latter. It'll take a lot more than just Lebron for that change to happen. Now Lebron may be the catalyst to that change, but it'll be a while before dividends come (if they ever do).
Lebron can only have short term impact IMO. Long term it will take a strong FO that people trust to build championship contenders.
I can roll with that. Deng is top 10 for sure. Zo, Timmy, Shaq Wade, James, Bosh Allen (won the chip last year arguably for Bron) Mike Miller prbly Battier then you can argue about PJ Brown, Glenn Rice, Glove, etc. Deng can be up there top 10.
He's such a great fit. I think part of the importance Riley is speaking of though is how Deng's signing showed that Miami can still lure big time players even after being abandoned by LeBron James. But in that case, I think Chris Bosh choosing to re-sign was the real watershed moment. That was the moment the Heat truly could stand up and say we are not going down because LeBron James decided to go home.
Hmmm, All Star baseball game or Summer League Heat vs Wizards, think the summer league has the lead right now, I'm like Lebron though so anyone of you guys can make me change my mind easily I would listen to you guys than I would my mom, girlfriend, and siblings.
Not to sound like Jim Irsay or anything but the Heat were definitely knocked cold with their cheek on the canvas and Chris Bosh choosing to re-sign was them suddenly getting to their feet just before the ref could count to ten.
Luol Deng was horrified by the Cavs locker room situation this last season. Imagine how Lebron will feel.
Well on the Heat we have Shabazz Napier and James Ennis. Plus we are your home city. We are your posse and want you to watch the Heat
In the Cavs defense....they have a new coach who hopefully won't put up with that BS and Lebron should help some.
Wow that's crazy beyond crazy, what a poor excuse of a franchise and this is the franchise that will let Lebron's posse ride on the team plane with him too.
I think it shows why he would sign here (aside from $ of course). He is a guy who loves structure it would seem and we provide that.
