@AlbertRandom1 1m That’s $1.6M of cap space gone, that could’ve been used elsewhere, just to give Granger $760K more than min. @JGJr9 @AlbertRandom1 39s Doesn't mean he won't be worth his salary, or that his salary won't ultimately be viewed as bargain. Please understand distinction. @JGJr9 @AlbertRandom1 2m Perhaps. But I only said it wasn’t the best bargain. RT @mliroff your thinking requires Granger to take min & he might not have been willing
They Have 3 PG's on the roster and it is ALWAYS a point of contention each year whether they carry 2 or 3. Spo always wants 3. Riley...2. Spo got his 3 last year at the expense of another wing player. I think they carry 3, and Chalmers plays more SG. Ennis plays there as well.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...um=referral&utm_campaign=programming-national The Bazz unfollows LBJ and deletes all tweets to him. We may not be the Lakers or Celtics in terms of history, but with all of the Heat legends still involved, guys like Haslem and Wade sticking it out at reduced pay, and new guys like Bosh and Bird coming in and falling in love, Miami sure fosters loyalty.
@AlbertRandom1 1m $1.5M, after extra roster charge. RT @ELLedo1307 @JGJr9 wouldn't moving Cole for a pick free another $2mil?
@AlbertRandom1 8m Yep. RT @JGJr9 Pair Cole and Ham as outgoing pieces in a S&T for a FA around 3M. Possible?
Pretty sure East seeds will go as follows. 8. Brooklyn 7. Raptors 6. Bulls 5. Wizards 4. Heat 3. Pacers 2. Cavs 1. Knicks .....what??
http://www.chatsports.com/miami-hea...Carlos-Boozer-Wants-to-be-in-Miami-2-10092415 Basically says that if he clears waivers he'll be in Miami.
I guess refs are bad even in Summer League. Some ****ty reffing going on. Won't let the kids play. Side note, Delonte West's nasty *** is playing for the Clippers in summer league.
Will the dolphins finally be winning the AFC East too? Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4
Boozer would be nice. Napier already has the best dribble on the Heat by default. He has the ball on a string.
He's super athletic with good size. Watching him I'm kind of shocked he didn't go in the second round somewhere.
Interesting. Spo can probably talk em into it easier because both Chalmers and Napier have jump shots. Range is important next to Wade, and they lack shooters. If they do trade one I'm wondering which one it'd be. I could see good reasons for each, honestly. But yeah, I just think it's a little risky going into next season without a true SG backup for the guy who's going to be doing it all. This same thing happened with Lebron last year.
I like him better than Napier. Napier reminds me of Bimbo Coles, a lot of dribbling for nothing. Defensively he's a liability. Ennis is having a quiet game.
Ehh I dunno. Napier is finding open guys on the first pass. With actual talent around him that could be a useful skill. Not sold one way or another on him but I do see some good with the bad.
I would think Atlanta would make the playoffs as well. They made it last year without Horford for the majority of the season, and they get him back this year. A trio of Teague, Millsap, Horford should be enough to make the playoffs in the East.
It's hard to judge PGs in Summer League because the offenses and game-planning are not very organized. PGs need practice reps to see the motion/timing of the offense and get in rhythm of setting people up and stuff. I do think Napier has to put on some muscle, though...dude is slight as hell. And he needs to show he can play with NBA-level athletes. The guard situation got more confusing when Chalmers came back, imo, cause he's potentially an odd fit without LeBron out there...as is Napier, possibly.
Yeah I agree with everything in this post. I actually like when Chalmers is aggressive trying to attack the rim though, he's a bit more talented there than I think he gets credit for because of the role he's asked to play. Napier definitely needs to bulk up. 6'1 isn't too tiny to play but 171 probably is. It's his birthday though so I can't rip on him tonight!
Napier was eaten alive on D. This second unit is better, made a nice run to lead by 4 from down 12. Maybe it's because Clippers sat down M'baye, that guy was beasting like grown man amongst kids.
@AlbertRandom1 2m RT @WindhorstESPN Official contract numbers for Heat's Mario Chalmers: 4.0M this season, 4.3M next season.
Any chance Tyler Honeycut makes the team? He's been very solid in the Summer League so far. He doesn't really wow you, but he's been producing and seemingly has some upside. It might be worth it to stash a guy like that at the end of your bench ahead of some veteran that will never play and has no upside.
Napier has not picked up the defensive principles yet for what I can see. He is turning his man way too early and they look like blow byes when they are not. He has to hold his man in front of him a bit more and allow for his big to cut off the P&R. He is allowing his man to leave him too early. He has the ability..the IQ is not there...yet. On Boozer..I don't doubt Kyler..the guy is a great NBA writer...but you have Bosh, McBob, Bird, Haslem and they want to bring back Oden. Hamilton challenges for a spot..and you also get Boozer? If they cut/trade Hamilton that would still be 6 bigs. That is one too many for the amount of wings the Heat like to carry. Spo will also play this lineup a lot (RIO/Wade/Ennis/Deng/Bosh) and I don't see what the benefit of having this many Bigs is... That lineup I posted would be an insane defensive lineup vs. Ball movement/heavy P&R teams like BK/CLE/TOR/WIZ
Thank god we brought back Chalmers, it was foolish thinking Napier could start right away. Would you be okay with Brandon Rush backing up Wade?
