Not a chance that Marino is the greatest. Sorry guys. Top 5 yes, maybe even Top 3, but not the greatest. As good as he was, you can't put him #1 basically for one reason and I'm sure we all know what exactly that reason is.

I love Johnny U and Montana, as well was Elway, but Marino is the prototypical QB. He made your team better just by having him on your team. We had one losing season under Marino, and thats with having both porous defenses and porous offenses. Elway I think is next, because he could run as well as throw, but not like Marino. Many of these QBs are products of some sort of system, Dan Marino was a system.
I would say the same thing if I was a jets fan and had to live us passing on him in the draft. talk about a woops moment
Just watched Dan's comeback to win the Sugar bowl in '82. He just had greatness flowing through those veins. Pitt was virtually unbeatable with him, and the Dolphins posted an incredible record during his reign. I just wish he'd had a decent defense during his tenure. Just once, so he could have won a Superbowl. That's on Shula for not firing Olivadotti. Bpk
