Yep, have heard the exact same thing, usually the guy never realizes what is going on b/c their head is so pumped full of "you are awesome, not like my hubby/BF/whomever, they are jerks and I hate them and I'm so unhappy, you make me happy!!!" That the guy never seems to catch on to what exactly is happening. Which is basically she is perceiving that she is trading "up", like most things female in romance and love, and really sex, that perception can change rapidly and it is "on to the next"
