4 interceptions........2.5 sacks.......and 3 forced fumbles his senior year at Boise. Potential playmaker?

    I think so.

Need this kid to make an impact this year. #54 pick is an awful high pick for what we've gotten back thus far.

He had another good day at practice...getting some starting reps, we'll see how it plays out because right now Jimmy Wilson is having a great camp and offseason by all sources I've heard, and I still think Finnegan is gonna be competin like a mother.

This, Misi, Dallas Thomas, Dion Jordan will be the four most Interesting battles to watch come training camp.

I'd like to see Taylor get used a bit as a "star" type position player like he did in college. Maybe between him and Dion Jordan they can come up with common defensive packages without any of our ****ty linebackers on the field.

This is why you keep your mouth shut.

Finnegan opens his mouth and puts Tim Walton's head on a spike, so coaches on the Rams staff who were actually there decide to tell the other side of the story:

I don't even know why he's talking, he should just shut his mouth and thank the lord he was able to convince this franchise to give him what is probably the worst contract by any team in FA.

Not of fan of Finnegan speaking out but that quote reeks of sorry grapes. I'd bet dollars to donuts its his former coach's agent.

And yet Walton was fired by the Rams...

As bad as it was for Finnegan to call him out publicly, it's just as bad for them to respond this way.

I don't see any names being quoted that were actually there...I see a childish response to a former player's childish statement. Finnegan was dumb, these "sources" look even worse for even giving it a second's thought...

    Babies....nothing to see here.

The "source with knowledge of the team's thinking" is an agent who represents coaches still with the team.

Finnegan shot his mouth off about the coaching last year, giving an implication of blame for his own poor play. They fired back and said he played poorly because he played poorly, not because of the coaching staff. It's a childish exchange, started by Finnegan. Two wrongs don't make a right.

The most interesting revelation to me though is that Finnegan began blaming his eye injury for his poor play, told the team he was going to have surgery so they would put him on IR, and then never actually had the surgery.

I think some of us had already looked with skepticism on this idea that his eye injury was responsible for his poor play, especially given the timing of when the injury happened, which was after some of his worst play of the season. In fact he had his better games of the season after the injury.

It's just a lesson that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

The significance of the lesson is....lessened....if it has to be told from an anonymous third party through a reporter with a horrible accuracy track record.

I think the argument of the other side is somewhat a joke when the coach in question got fired. What does that tell everyone? It tells me this source is an idiot or the coach wouldn't have been fired if he was doing such a great job.

Knowing Finnegan's past... I highly doubt that THIS is gunna be the incident that is going to make him shut his mouth. I dont think one of those giant junkyard machines that squashes cars into tiny cubes could shut his mouth... lol

It just looks immature for a FO to participate in something like that w a player.

Add to that having to use the third party makes it look even more childish.

You're definitely right. But I guess that was kind of their point. Finnegan says all the right things about Coyle and the Miami coaches now but it won't be long before he starts trashing them too, and it will probably coincide with his not playing well.
