Not to forget James Ennis, who tore it up for the Perth Wildcats in Australia. Was an All-Star and Champion for them.

Edit: my bad, thought you were talking about Hamilton.

They also put LeBron on Ginobili for a brief spurt IIRC. That really got him out of rhythm from what I could tell.

    That is about right.

    Don't rule out Greg Oden.

If fans knew what they are doing with him behind the scenes, they would be really optimistic about his future.

The team will likely look like this:

PG Mario Chalmers (He has destroyed his value in FA)
    PG Norris Cole
    SG Dwyane Wade
    SG Ray Allen
    SF Lebron James
    SF James Ennis
    SF Michael Beasley
    SF James Jones
    C Chris Bosh
    C Birdman
    C Udonis Haslem
    C Greg Oden
    G- 1st Rd. Draft Pick

Sect, so you think Ennis is getting a roster spot next year? Interesting.

What type of player is Ennis going to be in the NBA? Everything I've heard is about him tearing it up. Anyone he compares to currently?

If you do some simple numbers.....

The FA pickups have to be a Mini-MLE and a Min. Contract.

So Ariza and Morrow is the best we can do...and that would be....AWESOME.

I actually said a few pages back I thought the plan with Oden was to get him some time this year to test that knee, then get him ready for next year with a full offseason program aimed at getting him comfortable in out system for next season.

    Am I close?

I am not giving up on Oden at all.

We accomplished the first goal, get him on and off a basketball court healthy for an entire season.

Now, he can actually work on being a basketball player again. In the times he played you could see glimpses of the old instincts and natural ability there, he just couldn't physically execute them. If we can get him moving faster, with confidence, he cans till be a player.

I think Washington almost has to re-sign Ariza and Gortat.

I think they might be content to be the new Atlanta Hawks for now, making the playoffs every year, if not being a championship contender. Then if Wall and Beal develop into true superstars, maybe then make a move for another top shelf guy.

    Could you elaborate on Oden?

Also, there was speculation that the Big 3 could take even less to get some more help. Is that a possibility as well?

Or Jordan Clarkson. I think both of those guys have the chance to be solid to good players. With as deep as this draft is, I really hope the Heat don't trade their pick unless they're getting back a relatively young player that will contribute. They need to get younger and this draft will provide a good opportunity to do that.

Simply Put. Oden has practice all playoffs..as if he was going to play heavy minutes. He has participated in every shoot around and done weight work each and every day.

This is something that he has not done for 4 years. He has done this for most of this year.

Really glad to hear that. It shouldn't surprise anyone if he has been a two year project from the start. You can't just not have a working knee for four years and then regain all your basketball ability, chemistry, moves, explosion etc all at once. Hopefully his hard work pays off.

Man I get giddy whenever bosh goes CB4 on us. Lebron is obviously lebron and we're used to him doing the amazing every night, but I love boshs game and some of my favorite games these past 4 years have been bosh going off. The 34 point bulls playoff game, game winning 3 over the hawks/spurs.

Lebron is obviously the best player on this team and the last guy I'd want to leave, but if I had to pick a favorite player on this team overall I'd choose Bosh. Many reasons.

First off when he speaks you can tell he is an intelligent guy who understands life beyond basketball. Hard working, humble, never complains about touches, does the dirty work a lot of star players don't. All the while getting s*** on by casual fans who don't understand his contribution to the game.

Also for everyone who said we would have lost game six if Duncan was in the game...well I saw Bosh sky over Duncan for a very similar rebound last night. He's a special player and a joy to watch when he does decide its Bosh time. You can actually see his progression on this team as well, he just keeps becoming more aggressive and confident within the system.

Hes a great guy, the perfect teammate. His game is a lot of fun when he plays like he can. But all time, wade is my favorite. Seriously watching this video http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pPVzvf3nPxQ makes me miss vintage wade. The highlights are unreal. He's a made man in miami, with lebron becoming the boss.

Its really hard to watch that and not miss those days. He's grown as a player and his skill set is way more complete now, but that raw athleticism was so fun to watch.

Wade in his prime was probably just as good or better than Durant IMO and before Durant vs Lebron there was Wade vs Lebron. Some epic matchups when they met.

So Fischer appears to be the next Knicks coach. I wonder what this means for Melo. He wants to win, and you have to wonder how he feels about the decision. Obviously it worked well enough with Kidd but he had a lot to work with.

Doubt it even then. No one wanted to go there when Lebron was there, how much could Calipari hope to attract.

He's come a ways since he came out of college.

By the way how is that play at 3:22 not a travel? If it's not...damn. When he picks up the ball he's still 5 feet beyond the arc.

He might have taken a small third step but it was pretty close. Still great athletic ability.

That video kind of made me wonder how he isn't averaging about 50 points a game. I didn't see another player with the same athleticism.

Not to mention game 6 last year late in the game and overtime. That rebound to Ray. Then the block on Green. Then the and one to make sure we never trailed again in overtime. Big balls.

Meh. It is Cleveland. It is Gilbert. There must have been some fine print in comic sans he didn't quite agree with.

Anywhere else and it's a great situation to walk into though.

Even if Ennis is on the team next season I doubt he plays much the first year. You got to know the defense and assimilate yourself in it first and foremost. Beasley should get more time next year. I'm not sure Haslem or James Jones will have much left in them for another year.
