You must not think very highly of Stephon Gilmore if you believe trading for him equates to me wanting to just give Tramon away. Seriously though, why would I wanna just give away a quality starting corner during the draft and jeopardize chances of winning "Team Built for Now" or any of the defensive awards?
Hahaha. ..that's like Bill Gates son claiming to be a self made millionaire. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
IMO it's debatable who the best GB corner is. I think the answer would change throughout the year based on play. In 2010 it was Tramon Williams. The second half of 2013, Tramon was again the best corner and GB's best defender. What the uneducated Fin-O doesn't realize is Tramon sustained a shoulder injury and nerve damage the first game of 2011 that killed that season, hindered 2012, and lingered through the first half of 2013. He had to alter the way he plays the game b/c he was a press corner forced into playing "off". This also made him give up a lot of underneath stuff which jacked up his completion percentage, made tackling difficult, and the injury & nerve damage limited his ball-hawk style of play. Compounding this was frequently shadowing #1 WRs. However, when finally healthy during the second half of 2013, Tramon indisputably returned to 2010 form earning a Pro Bowl alternate spot. He picked off 4 passes and allowed just 1 TD during that time, went a 3 game stretch without allowing a completion, made a handful of big plays in Tramon fashion, and finished the season with career highs in tackles [83], sacks [2.5], Forced Fumbles [2], and Fumble Recoveries [2]. Green Bay's cornerback coach sums it up:
Better than being a self-made idiot I guess. My front 7 [including depth] was entirely gutted with the exception of Malcolm Smith. If you include nickel pass rusher [Michael Bennett's old job] and slot CB as starters which many do, 9 of 13 defensive starters are NEW players, TweedleDee. You and your big SituationJr mouth shouldn't be throwing rocks in glass houses Mr I-inherited-Quinn-Ogletree-and-Brockers-for-my-front-7. You also kept 2 starters from your secondary and are using the same backup DE. So if you really wanna measure ***** here, you kept more of your original defense than I did. You kept 2 more starters and 7 more defenders overall.
Pro Bowl Alternate and back to 2010 form baby. More than I can say for your 2 "acquisitions" who'll be watching games from home this year.
Wow...now you want to compare what I inherited with what YOU inherited?? You're struggling bad with all this.
You received the greatest inheritance in the history of the league so you should probably shut your pie hole. I can't imagine the additional damage that I or anyone else would've done in trades had we been blessed with the #2 and #13 picks that are as good as gold and accepted anywhere. Talk about taking the easy road and buying a team. Meanwhile I had to sacrifice a handful of good players just to get the #2 and #11 picks. I don't recall inheriting Von, Wake, Lotulelei, Tramon, Arthur Jones, Michael Bennett, Tommy Kelly, Worrilow, Jason Peters, Boldin, Julius Thomas, Tate, Schwartz, or Moreno, all of whom were acquired w/o trading an inherited 1st round draft pick.... and I didn't inherit the picks used on Aaron Donald, Bradley Roby, or Carlos Hyde. But I did inherit a need to replace or re-sign 8 key FA's despite $3 million in cap space. I also inherited the last pick of the 1st & 2nd rounds and no 3rd rounder. No. Just some trash-talking between one GM with his big boy pants on and another who is trying to get out of his Huggies who initiated it. Obviously the connoisseur of fine GED-educated Piggly Wiggly bag girls is the one trying to break free of the diapers.
Jesus's your such a tool, no wonder you can't keep a woman. I started with less cap space and a glaring hole on an 8-8 team called a FRANCHISE QB!!! All your half assed chart showed is how much value I got from #2 and #13 and still picked 17 overall.....well played by me I suppose, max value at its finest. Then you claim I initiated this??? Typical speak from the pimple on the leagues *** (as voted upon) Your jealously made you speak out, then I had to destroy you for what would've been a third time this year. So now while sitting alone in your sisters spare bedroom, drinking cheap liquor and sunny D ...you can make another stupid attempt at picking apart a GM who is/was/always will be better than you. Happy hunting loser.
Didn't you just have a post removed for personal attacks? You lost the privilege to talk crap to me and especially about my wife when you stopped talking in jest and instead devolved into obvious full-on personal attack mode. TOS applies in here too.
It's not passion it's silliness. Now tell me again how tramon Williams isn't better then Casey Hayward. That was a fun story .
Lolololololol....im sure I did, and I'm sure you cried about it to your buddy who for some dumb reason (including me bringing it up a few times) LET YOU BACK AT THIS SITE. But hey, keep playing victim it makes me laugh. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
You've got back to back posts here removed but you're still talking crap and derailing the thread? Do you ever learn?
Yaaaaaaaawn. Maybe remove some of his posts, or do I have to cry about it to you in a PM?? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
He didn't cry about it in a pm. And I did remove one or two of his. And that is why I didn't single you out. I don't mind a little friendly banter but I did think you crossed the line first.
Hey guys, just wanted to apologize to all of you for completely blowing off the nomination and voting process. Vacation time and very busy work time kept me from being able to devote the necessary time to properly review everyone's rosters, trades, etc. Plus I was a little bitter to not get one Draft steal of the year nomination for John Brown... Still bitter a glitch with ThePhins royally f'd my write-up that I spent 2 hours on. That coupled with the Josh Gordon fiasco made it hard to finish strong. Special thanks to Paul for all his hard work with this. And special thanks to the few of you who noticed the few good things I did with the San Fran roster despite my piss poor write - up.
So the same guy who is parading around gleefully about my posts being removed, had a couple of his removed aswell. Gotcha.
You're still egging on a Chief Mod?.... and are still trying to disrupt the thread in TOS violating fashion? The only reason my post was removed [the one in response to Mach] is b/c you wen't into personal attack mode. Otherwise it would've remained lumped in with the rest of the acceptable banter that transpires here.
Yep. Anyway, congrats on secondary of the year...you did a FANTASTIC job putting that unit together. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
This is the feud that doesn't end Yes, it goes on and on my friend Some people started arguing it not knowing what it was, And they'll continue arguing it forever just because . . .
Good lord, put each other on block already before I do it for you. The rest of the forum shouldnt have to be subject to reading this crap
I'm always logged in. It could have been something with my work network too. Not necessarily a Phins issue. Lesson learned, write-up in word, copy and paste.
