http://footballgameplan.com/fbgps-2014-nfl-draft-grades-miami-dolphins/ Good morning Dolphins fans! Here's my '14 Draft Grades video for you guys Enjoy! Em
Good job! I enjoyed seeing the A- at the end. One thing I noticed in the video was they had Jordan Tripp listed at 248 pounds. Correct me if I'm wrong, but was he ever at that weight?
I like the mention of the other Dolphins forums at the end. So much Dolphin talk not enough time to read it all
I love what he can do in coverage… He's not a P.O.A. type guy…which IMO limits him to nickel situations
yeah he moves really well N.S.E.W,stays on his feel a lot, surely isn't afraid to mix it up, basically i don't see anything inherently wrong with the way he plays the run, hes just light, 237. At this point teams are throwing more than their running, so ill take that skillset and wait for him to add weight and strength. You know whats interesting, how different is the skillset he has relative to what we have now in ellerbe, completely different..I'd really like to see Tripps skillset on the field as much as possible and with the league passing reps the way there are, seeing jenkins and Tripp on the field will not make me trip.
I liked how you included your thoughts on the UDFAs, because IMO the Dolphins group of UDFA this year is as good as any in the league. Seeing that you rated Larsen your #1 center, Hoskins your #9 TE and Derrell Johnson your #6 OLB in the draft is encouraging. I just cannot see how one could rate James only the 10th best OT in the draft though. I guess if Zack Martin is rated with the tackles and is the 4th tackle, one could make a case that if his knee is sound that Kouandjio would be 5th, Moses if his shoulder is sound could be 6th, considering they have experience at LT, but that should put James at 7th at the lowest. I was personally sweating that Miami would take Kouandjio or Moses instead of James in the 1st and that would have been very depressing, since James has proven to be a better blocker at RT, is more durable, more experienced at RT, and fits as a plug and play prospect at the most glaring hole in the Dolphins starting 22.
Great job E.D. Yeah I would have drafted his LB teammate Brock Coyle. Although smaller, I just saw more impact plays from him.
