Sorry if already.posted. Pretty cool. I hope this dude just gets better. High praise from a very good player, Luke Kuechly. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-top100-2014/0ap2000000350283/Luke-Kuechly
That's 2 so far, Grimes and Clay. I'd have to think at least 2 out of the 3 between Cameron Wake, Mike Pouncey, and OV got on the list. Here are Clay's 2013 Highlights as well:
If he signs an extension, I am going to. That is my new jersey buying rule, after being burned by Culpepper
I'm hopeful he will too...if Irish was still here, I'd expect to see Clay in a Jet or Pats uniform in 2015.
What did you do? Buy a Culpepper jersey right after he was traded for? There was nothing he did on the field that make a Dolphins say I gotta rush out and buy me a Culpepper jersey. He stunk in aqua and orange from the get go as I recall.
My dad got it for me for my birthday, which is in August. I should have told him a Chambers jersey, however I was so sure. So sure.
You know what? I am going to get a Clay Jersey. It combines both my love of the Miami Dolphins and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Man, among many, check out the last play against the Chargers. That was f-----g diesel!!! Ran over the whole f-----g team and the one at the beginning, steam rolling and b---h slapping Dre Kirkpatrick, I believe it was, from the Bengals.
Loved him in Tulsa and I knew if given the chance he would bloom into something special. I was pumped when we drafted him and am still pumped today.. Lot of pumping going on...
IMO, Charles Clay's best play was that 1st down catch and run against NE. The ball location was so awful, he had no business making that first down. All heart.
Won us the Pittsburgh and NE games, or put us in a position to win. Neither of those plays should have been successful, but someone forgot to tell Clay that.
And yeah Clay is a monster. That highlight video Ronin posted got me PUMPED! Can the season just start now??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think that same guy has a few videos on YouTube. I've seen one of Brent Grimes and Brian Hartline from last year as well. There's also a general Dolphins one with Wake, OV, Clay, Grimes, Wallace, Tannehill, and Hartline.
Tannehill did a nice job throwing it around the free defender right in his face and Clay did an outstanding job recognizing the sticks.
Yup I've watched a few of them. It really helps through the slow days of the offseason. On the other had though, it makes me really impatient for the season to start. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm on my phone but if you watch the Clay video until it ends a bunch of related videos pop up. There are a bunch of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
And he should get tremendous props for that, because Clay was a sixth round pick thats on the cusp of being a probowler..
Well as long as we're on the common complaint part, anyone who says Tannehill needs to work on his deep ball needs to see how many times he hits Clay in stride on long throws in this video.
It sucks that Irish and Philbin couldn't see eye to eye, he's a much better GM than he's given credit for.
Right tackles don't have YouTube highlight tapes, fans will never like taking them early in the draft.
Clabo made one of the key blocks after the catch on that play. He blocked #32. Had he held the block at the line any longer, he doesn't get out there to make that block.
I'm not sure where he stacks up in the pantheon scale of grading GMs, but at the end, his weakness did him in, and that was an inability to find good Olineman, overlooking football players for measurables, and lacking judgement At the Qb position.. I do feel that last years draft will be eventually be a really good draft though..
yeah i agree. Tannehill makes just about every throw you could ever ask him to make in this video. Deep, out, short, low, high, touch, bullet, sideline...its all there. This is just as much a highlight of him as it of Clay. Here's hoping for many more years of both of them.
Well, if not for the New York Rangers upsetting the Penguins and being a die-hard Reds fan (though they really need to get it going, Johnny Cueto notwithstanding), I'd agree 100%. The worst part of the year, to me, is when the NBA and NHL Finals end and you've got a month of the dog days of baseball, and really, 2-3 months until regular season football starts.
