No they did not, they are expressing opinions on twitter as private persons. That is how players use twitter.

 

I wonder if goodell/nfl could just get twitter banned from nfl players. I know some use it for good and it's a great promotional tool, but the bad has to outweigh the good right? Every single hot button issue seems to be followed by some idiot mouthing off on twitter. The nfl should just make them all delete their accounts as part of the league rules.

It'd hurt their freedoms I guess but somehow I doubt anyone quits the nfl over it.

 

And of course, Don Jones' comment was mentioned on ABC's This Week. Smh.

 

I'm 100% pro gay rights across the board, but if I get squimish watching two guys kiss does that mean I'm anti-gay? Of course I try to keep that to myself.

I was in East Greenwich in NYC yesterday and being a nice day and I saw both gay and straight couples showing signs of affection short of making out and thought nothing of it, if I saw any of them making out it would have made me look away the only difference is with the straight couple I be jealous of the dude because he is getting action while I'm holding my dick...

But if it was a couple of girls kissing it admittedly might take me a bit longer to look away.

Could care less about someones sexual habits, I'm interested in how good he can perform at the position he claims to be good at so prove it and take over your spot on the team otherwise it's all just been for attention.

Since when did one groups rights start to outweigh the rights of others? People have just as much right to react negative towards homosexuality as those that have the right to practice it. Just as people should not have to befriend, employ, or support the ideas of those that believe its wrong, it works both ways. Why does an idea of acceptance have to be more important than the idea of disapproval?

Yeah. I saw him kiss his boyfriend after the call and it was no big deal. Then I saw the cakey kiss and asked myself, "Would this be gross if it were a heterosexual couple?".The answer is yes. But I'm a hypocrite, because I really enjoy cake farts.

 

Saw it, shocked me a bit. Not that I find it "repulsive" but if you see a million hetero kisses you are conditioned from any response really. It was just abrupt, since I was watched it at the hospital with no sound, so I had no idea it was even Sam until the kiss. I thought he was going to go undrafted actually.

That doesn't make any sense as a comparison.

If you've got the kind of emotional investment where you need to make a very public showing of your feelings, it's bigotry. If he was private annoyed, that's a different deal.

 

It has all to do with sexual preferences, I would like to think I can have my own without some people labeling me because I don't think a certain way, its what makes us humans is the fact we are different, what will make us inhuman when we are controlled to feel one way.

 

Sure it does, according to Stringer the fact I'm more grossed out - even if I keep it to myself - more by men kissing than any other couple kissing, say boy on girl or girl on girl makes me a bigot, well where does it end? Personally this is a non-story.

A man had a view and used a forum available to him and said it. His employer will now hand down consequences. It is what it is. Don Jones can now decide whether his views are strong enough to make him continue to speak out, or he will be quieted. It's normal due process. Move along.

I agree - except that i want our players - the people who represent our team - or even in the real world the people who represent the place i work at - to use common sense and judgement - You can be grossed out/indifferent/or turned on by it, i dont care - but, please, think about the consequences of your actions.
