don't mind Hazel but he's yet ANOTHER receiver who plays at 4.5 or slower.

So much for Lazor having a chance to utilize guys in space well for big YAC yards like his Philly squad did amazingly.

 

Arthur Lynch was a great pick for me. Blocking TE, hopefully he can improve catching and become a red zone target as well.

Not sure about the WR's they chose but we'll see.

Desean was the only really fast guy at Philly. Everyone else was comparable to most nfl WRs.

 

I actually prefer Tripp's teammate LB Brock Coyle. Love the Hazel pick. He's similar to Landry.

 

I feel the WR's are getting drafted because of Lazors scheme, Wallace's contract and Gibson's uncertainty with his health.

Kinda' curious on their thought process.

 

We are taking a lot of small school, D1-AA's best prospects. They will come into the league hungry with a lot to prove and a good team attitude. I don't see a lot of 'me first' players. I'm honestly loving this strategy.

 

All of the scouting reports have him at 4.5 or faster.

Plus speed isn't the only way to get YAC

 

4.46 at the combine.

 

The consistent theme I'm seeing with the WR is route-running and catching the difficult throws. Robert Herron would have been the pick there if he would of lasted.

Well..it looks like focus on routr running...hard working..and seperation more then flat out speed. Does seem like the kinda recievers u might see in a fast paced lazor offense


Its not about getting the best WRs..its about getting the right ones. Hickey went to all the coaches and said..."Tell me what kind of player you want"....for the first time, your seeing synergy between the front office and the coaches. Im loving this.

Yes but Riley Cooper doesn't need great speed when he has the size, physicality, and catching ability to go over defenders downfield, and he can also pick up yards after the catch or after contact.... and he doesn't need great speed when the offense also features speed & playmakers at RB & TE.
You left out the other part of my post about making plays in space.

Jeremy Maclin? fast and makes plays in space, all over the field.
Josh Huff? got some playing speed and comes from a system that used him in space.
LeSean McCoy? has speed and makes plays in space.
Darren Sproles? has speed/quickness and makes plays in space.
Zach Ertz? has some speed and can make plays in space and downfield.

You're trying to make it seem like Philly's overall offensive speed and ability in space is negligible compared to Miami's, and that's not true. With Wallace omitted, Miami now easily has the slowest group of receivers in the league.

Yeah, his combine time was a little faster but he doesn't play to his timed speed. Stop trying to argue semantics. He's not a speed guy or even close to it.
