- Yesterday: Efffing Dolphins are soooooo stupid for not trading back. - Today: Effing Dolphins are soooo stupid for trading back. I hate you guys.
Good trade back. Not sure what the complaint is here. One of those players we're really tempted by is going to fall to 57.
I created a NON SPOILER DRAFT THREAD for everyone tired of hearing picks and trades announced ahead of time.
I'm off to bed. Its UK time here. 1:38am. I'm pretty deflated with our Draft strategy. I'm ok with 'safe' picks...right now I'm hoping at best that's what we do! Not excited enough to stay up another 30mins plus to see a safe pick. Will catch up in the morning. Toodlepip.
It's pretty freaking obvious that if you trade back 7 spots in the 1st round you get much higher compensation compared to trading back 7 spots in the 2nd round... We would have an extra top 100 pick, now we are going to pick a guy that had 140 something guys taken in front of him. Not worth it. You trade down in the 1st and up in the other rounds. That's the best way to have a solid draft based on cost and reward. Quite simple.
If Miami doesn't get a stud offensive player hope we have a really bad season next year and we end up getting the 1 st pick next year. even the jets and bills are leaving us in the dust in this draft.
And that's why some teams consistently pick in the top 10, or in the middle of the 1st round like us.
What was the exact parameters of the offer for the 1st round trade back? I would like a link showing precisely what Miami was offered and I would like direct confirmation from a team official statement proving what happened.
lol you want me to do your taxes while I'm at it? If you can't put the pieces together thats your own problem. Hickey said we had offers. Based on the Chiefs trade we were at least offered 27 and a 3rd. Let me guess, you also believe Hickey was our first option at GM lol
Not that my opinion means anything, but I agree. There is nothing wrong with trading back in the 2nd. We should have traded back in 1st. I'm cool with this 2nd round trade. Its only 7 slots! You guys are aware that we have TONS of holes, right?
How can a team trade up without another team trading down? I guess all of the teams trading down, like the Rams, who got 3 #1s and a #2 for trading down 4 spots just don't understand the simple stuff.
You think a player picked at 145 is going to significantly help our team? There was a talent level drop off around 50. We are going to get a lesser player now.
