Both losses... The Bills lose where they ran for 1.2 yards and no one blocked at all and wrs were dropping balls left and right was on him? CLUELESS
Ja'Wuan James should be an upgrade over Clabo. That right side caused us losses against the Bills and Ravens last year. That's two games.
I am not the least bit surprised that they took an offensive lineman with their first round pick. I would have preferred one of the top four tackles, but when you pick 19th in the first round, you usually don't get one of the top tackles in the draft. I think some people were fooled by reports that Hickey was different than Ireland. I saw many comments on here in which some people thought Hickey would take the BPA, over a position of need. Obviously there were better players on the board at 19, but James best fit the biggest need on the Dolphins and Hickey went in that direction. Hopefully James can come in and be a starter from day one. The Dolphins certainly can't afford to draft an offensive lineman in the first round and him not come in a become a starter immediately.
Maybe you should understand the draft. If Hickey were jumping for joy to get that pick in as you would like it to seem, he would've made it without running down the clock. Instead, he wanted to trade back b/c he didn't feel James was worth the 19 slot and b/c he wasn't in fear of someone else snaking James out from underneath him. The trade back wasn't there, and rather than taking a player higher on his board, he panicked and over-drafted James. Fans are disappointed we didn't get great value from our 1st round pick, which is entirely understandable. So STFU.
Jaeuan James was predicted 2-3 Round...hope he is better then Moses now i hope we draft the guard with a 4 Round pick (Trai Turner)
Then you must be really happy with the way we have drafted the past 20 years. We don't get it. The rest of the league has past us by. Now we can block .0001% better on the right side while playing against teams with mulitple dynamic players that score more points than we do. Points win games. Either you score them or stop the other team from scoring. A 2nd round RT in round 1 was a really bad play.
Yall crack me up...Im done...I mean it...really..this year Im done...Im...oh look we are on the clock!!!! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Taylor was injuried the whole year. I gave him a red shirt. NO we need a RT and he has been called the best on of the whole draft.
Oh I bet he can cut block and pull and have a prayer of hitting the Cb on a seal block, it is not that, it is more he was a mediocre player in College, RT's when good can be dominant, LG's when good can make an offense elite
So if we picked 10th and 4 OT's were picked ahead of us you feel we still should have picked JJ at 10? Not saying we didn't need to improve the OL , it is however how you manage assets. Miami unfortunately has not done that well for far far far too long , imo.
Run was killed because nobody was scared of us passing. There were some drops, sadly that's just part of the game. That's why your QB has to be able to make plays when they are available. Can't miss homeruns like he did all year. Sorry but I've stepped back and looked at Tannehill without my Aqua and Orange glasses and he just don't have it.
Yeah, solid pick (on paper, of course. He could be much better than expected or much worse as we've seen all too much) but they could've gotten him a bit later if they traded back. How come Arizona was able to trade back and pick up a much needed extra pick but not Miami? And while it fills a need, drafting the best player available is what I like. Afterall, we've been drafting based on need for a while now and it hasn't worked out. Want to try something different. Like the pick, don't love it I guess. Hope we go TE or WR next.
The saints traded up 7 spots and have up a 3rd, immediately after we picked. That was our 3rd rounder.
I invite you to do so, never pay premium dollars for low return investments of assets, it is foolish and the way to mediocrity Jordan, Taylor, Davis, impact players (potentially) James...
