Since no one has written one in a while I figured I take a stab at it because these things are always fun and I have some time on my hands. Don't get mad at any of my picks. I'm only skimming your team pages and having fun.

    1. Detroit - Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M
This was really tough. I figure you don't trade for Mallett and then spend the first overall pick on a QB. I can't see them taking Clowney here with the pass rushers they already have, but that can't be discounted. Pairing Watkins with Megatron would be incredibly scary and could be a real possibility, but with the hole at tackle I gave them Matthews here. IMO he's the best LT in the draft and would have been the best in last year's class.

    2. Seattle - Jadeveon Clowney, DE, S. Carolina
Scary to think a team this talented will add the best player in the draft to play opposite Cam Wake, but this seems like the most logical pick by a mile. I'd be surprised if they went with anyone else.

    3. Jacksonville - Blake Bortles, QB, UCF
I find it hard to believe the Jags would go into this season with Pryor or Nassib at QB. I can't see them passing up a QB here. The questions is which one do they take. I feel Bortles is the best QB in the class so that's who I have slotted here.

    4. Washington - Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson
Do they feel comfortable with Cousins at QB. My guess would be they are considering they were willing to give up RGIII for this pick and a 3rd. I don't see them turning around and using that pick on another QB. Instead they get the biggest offensive weapon in the draft in Watkins. Currently the cupboard is pretty bare at WR. Adding a big time talent like Watkins would be huge for them.

    5. Denver - Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville
Another situation with a young unproven QB. I doubt you bet a Super Bowl roster's worth of talent on Brock Osweiler, so I say they take possibly the most NFL ready QB in Bridgewater.

    6. Buffalo - Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M
Who the hell knows what Paul is going to do. He promises a surprise, but would anything be a surprise with Paul? If he is really going big he could go with a guy like Garoppolo, but I don't see him doing that. I'm not going to try and get inside his head here though. I'm just going to pick the guy that I think makes the most sense and for me that's Evans. I really wanted to put Mack here and give him probably the best LB corps in the NFL, but that offense is just putrid right now. Giving Manuel a monster like Evans to throw to would go a long way towards his development.

    7. Philadelphia - Aaron Donald, DT/DE, Pitt
I hadn't noticed it until skimming their roster, but the Eagles are doing a fantastic job of building their team. There really aren't a ton of holes there. I can't give them Mack because they already are set at rush linebacker. They could use some help in the secondary and on the defensive line, so that left me with Gilbert vs. Donald. With the money they are spending on corner, plus the fact that I have Donald rated higher, that's where I went. Donald may be better suited as a DT in a 4-3, but I feel his skill set will allow him to turn into an end in a 3-4 scheme.

    8. Minnesota - Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma St.
Again, I really wanted to slot Mack here as I can't see him falling this far. With the money spent on Woodyard and the talent of Greenway and David though, I'm not sure they would go in that direction. They drafted Rhodes early last year and signed Thurmond, but you need multiple good corners and Gilbert is a good one.

    9. New England - Kalil Mack, OLB, Buffalo
Mack simply cannot fall further than this. Scary to see him on the Patriots, but Belichick will find a way to use him despite not really having a need for that position. With no glaring needs, if Mack got here it should be an easy choice.

    10. Pittsburgh - Eric Ebron, TE, UNC
The Steelers could go in a few directions here. I badly wanted to give him Robinson because that's excellent value here and feels like the type of pick Boik would make, but getting a playmaker like Ebron to go along with that WR corps could be scary for opposing defenses.

    11. Seattle - Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn
Once again the rich gets richer. After getting arguably the best player in the draft earlier, they get arguably the best lineman in the draft here. I'm not as sold on Robinson as some experts, but when people are comparing you to Larry Allen that says something. He would most likely play RT to start and eventually move over to the left side once Peters wears out and in the meantime would give the Seahawks potentially the best line in the NFL.

    12. NY Giants - Anthony Barr, DE/OLB, UCLA
I think the Giants would like to see Ebron here, but in this scenario he is not. Barr is some consolation prize though. The Giants understand that you cannot have too many pass rushers and will find a way to get Barr on the field, most likely in multiple positions.

    13. Denver - Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, S, Alabama
I think Denver would look pass rusher here, and if Barr fell he'd be tough to pass on. They need help at safety though and Dix is the type of plamaker at the back end that you really want. The Seahawks showed what having a stud safety can do for you and Dix has the chance to be that type of a safety IMO.

    14. Atlanta - Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan
The tackle situation in Atlanta is not good right now, and despite their record they have enough talent elsewhere to be good next year. Adding a potential stud tackle to their line could really help out Matt Ryan and that offense. This would allow Baker to move over to the right side.

    15. Chicago - Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
This could be a huge coup for the Bears if Johnny football actually gets here. I'm not the biggest Manziel fan and I probably wouldn't take him in the top 5, but at the point in the draft if you're in need of a franchise QB and you have a guy with his ability here you have to pull the trigger.

    16. Dallas - Derek Carr, QB, Fresno St.
It would certainly sting to see the in-state QB go right before their pick when they badly need a QB, but those are the breaks. With no QB on the roster you would have to think they'll be looking QB here. Hopefully for their sake one of the top 3 falls here, but Carr might not be a bad consolation prize. He has all the tools to be a good QB, and if he gets to stay on his feet longer than his brother did, he may become the QB everyone though David would be when he was taken #1 overall.

    17. St. Louis - Darqueze Denard, CB, Michigan St.
This was another team that I didn't realize was doing such a good job in the offseason. They have an awful lot of talent all over the place. The one area they could use an upgrade would be in the secondary. Personally I think Denard and Verrett are very close, but I went with Denard here. If he realizes his potential (and having a pass rush like that should help) this should very easily be a Super Bowl contender.

    18. NY Jets - Marquese Lee, WR, USC
Their team page wasn't posted so I just went off of what their needs are in real life and value of what's on the board. They need pass catchers and Lee has the chance to be a good one.

    19. Miami - Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon St.
For me, this was a tossup between Cooks and Pryor, but while I don't love those safeties, they aren't bad either. At WR they have a major need as they can't afford to send Tannehill out on the field throwing to that group. Kelvin Benjamin could be another contender for this pick, but personally I feel Cooks is the better player and wouldn't mind seeing the real Dolphins take him here in May.

    20. Arizona - Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville
They have Mathieu listed at corner so safety becomes a need for them. Pryor might be the best safety in this class and would give them a dynamic secondary that could rival Seattle for the best in the league. I considered Benjamin here as well, but felt Pryor was better value.

    21. Green Bay - Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech
The Packers have some weapons at WR, but are lacking at TE and Amaro can change that in a hurry.

    22. Tampa Bay - CJ Mosley, LB, Alababma
The Bucs need some help on defense, and Mosley could be a guy that comes in and sets the tone for them on D. They could also look pass rusher here, but I think Mosley provides the best value.

    23. Kansas City - Kelvin Benjamin, WR, FSU
(This team page was a mess so I did the best I could) The Cheifs need some guys to make plays in the passing game so they don't have to rely on Charles so much. Benjamin gives the Cheifs a couple of twin towers to throw to along with Bowe.

    24. Cincinnati - Jason Verrett, CB, TCU
Verrett has a case to be the best CB in the draft and could help out a secondary in need of a playmaker.

    25. Miami - Kony Ealy, DE, Missouri
After trading away Jordan and Wake the Dolphins are in desperate need of pass rushing. Ealy is easily the best pass rusher left and very good value at this point of the draft.

    26. Cleveland - Louis Nix, DT, Notre Dame
(Would I actually give away my pick in a mock draft? Maybe, maybe not :shifty: ) The Browns don't really have any major needs after a fantastic job by their general manager to load the team up. Because of that they can go BPA and take a guy who could slide right in and compete to start at NT for them.

    27. New Orleans - Ryan Shazier, LB, Ohio St.
He may not sniff this part of the draft, but if he does the Saints would probably waste little time snatching him up. He fills both a need as well as excellent value here.

    28. Carolina - Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio St.
Back to back Buckeyes as Roby gets taken right after Shazier. The Panthers need help in their secondary after losing Munnerlyn and Roby is a nice player at this part of the draft.

    29. Indianapolis - Odell Beckham Jr., WR, LSU
TY Hilton is emerging and Rodgers showed some flashes late, but they still need more weapons for Luck. I doubt Beckham gets this far, but if he does this could be a great pick.

    30. Houston - Zach Martin, OL, Notre Dame
    31. Houston - Davante Adams, WR, Fresno St.

They could go a lot of directions here really. Martin represents excellent value here and I feel that Van would not let him slip by especially with some use for upgrades at a couple of spots on the line. Martin could really play any of the 5 positions there probably. Houston also badly needs WR help. Would he risk waiting on what is an excellent WR class despite knowing how much people love WRs around here? Not sure. To be safe I have him taking Adams here.

Oops. It was on page 2. Did see that there was a page 2. The pick would have been the same nonetheless probably.

If i keep pick 10 Greg Robinson will definitely not be the pick. I don't dislike him on the same level as I disliked Lane Johnson last year but imo he's not a top 15 guy. His technique and footwork have a lot of cleaning up to do.

I did take a TE last year with Zach Ertz and there is no doubting ebrons talent. So I do love my Te's. But I'll see how the draft falls and take the BPA. You may have glossed over my target though :shifty:

I agree with you on Mack. There doesn't appear to be an ideal fit outside Jacksonville. He would definitely be a prime target to trade up for if he gets out of the top 5 or 6.

Not sure why I didn't put a 32, somehow missed that.

I'm surprised Martin wouldn't be on your list. He would be excellent value there. Adams was a shot in the dark and I was ready to finish the damn thing up at that point.

I don't see Martin as a LT (And my right side is set), there are better guard prospects and I got a wildcard option for LT.

If these players are available I will pick them:

    Donald
    Mack
    Mosley
    Gilbert
    Ebron
    Hageman

If a QB falls I'm willing to trade out...

Can tell ya the truth now...When I traded up I was hoping Ebron or Mack would fall to me or I knew I was trading back down for Dee Ford. I kind of thought the draft would fall in a similar manner to this. So there ya have it....

Mike Evans was my target from before the league started. At the time I thought 7 would definetly be high enough but I got scared near draft time. Mack was going to be my secondary option if I couldn't trade back.

probably... either that or I would have traded down and tried to take Ebron later... but I would have stayed ahead of the Giants.. and when the Vikings took Ebron at 8, well, that surprised me... I'm glad I got the #1 guy on my board though :wink2: it's funny because at 9, were I started originally, if I stayed there, I wouldn't have got either one.

Donald would have been an interesting conundrum. On one hand I had 35 year old James Harrison as my starting OLB entering the draft and while I think he has something left, Im not sure I could have afforded the luxury pick but at the same time hes a tremendous talent and one of the top 5 players in the draft imo. I was actually relieved that he was gone so I didnt have to make that decision
