we play in the wild west...you play in the garbage east???? shocking you're not #1 in every category since you literally have only one other good team in the east. by the way, the rockets starters missed a total of 60 games. what's the next excuse for us basically having the same stats as the heat? if you're a championship contender, so are the rockets.

heat and rockets are right next to each other in defensive efficiency. so if the rockets suck on defense (which i know we do), so do the heat.

Interesting, I could see it. I think OKC is going to have to work against Memphis though. The Thunder are head and shoulders the better team but I think it's a bit of a tough matchup for them. I also think GSW takes the Clips at least 6. Wizards over Bulls is bold but I could see it happening. Chicago's offense goes missing in action for a stretch every game.

Yawn. The Heat also coasted all year, while the Rockets busted their *** to keep HC in the first round. Not the same.

There is also the matter of one team being in 3 consecutive Finals and winning two Titles. Again..not the same.

The Heat did suck for the most part all year on Defense. They did so last year. and the Year before. How did those years turns out? How did their defense play in the playoffs?

Heat have a another gear the Rockets only "heard" of.

Fixed that up. GSW and Portland will win their series imo. The Clippers are the most overrated team in the league. Portland is getting no respect in that series. I think the Brooklyn series is the only 1st round matchup going 7. Very evenly matched imo...Toronto needs Valanciunas to have a big series to pull the win out

Minnesota interested in Stan Van Gundy. Hope he gets that job.

Also, Pau Gasol stated he'd be willing to sign for cheap for a small number of contenders. Come on down brother.

Wow notice a theme there? A ton of clips of Harden just standing around watching the ball handler while paying no attention to his man and allowing open back door cuts.

The Heat have 4 EC Championships instead of 5 because of Stan Van Gundy. I don't think he is a very good coach. His demeanor sucks.

That was my thought exactly. I like watching Houston's games, but their perimeter D is weak. It's why I didn't have them on my list of potential champs this year. As a Heat fan, though, I would love for the Finals to be Miami v. Houston.

the heat coasted???? maybe lebron didnt get that memo. he busted his azz all year to keep that team in contention. would have been nice if the best sg in the game actually helped him a little. he didnt look injured to me. he looked pretty healthy at the BET awards. that's the only guy who gets a pass in the entire league for coasting.

    LEBRON BUSTED HIS ***? LOFL.

Lebron James was legitimately a TERRIBLE Harden Like defender this year. Nobody coasted more than Lebron James. Are you aware he ranked somewhere between 168th and 190th on defense according to Synergy? Yep...coasting.

Wade missed 16 games since then and it cost him 1.8 points on his PER. Had he not missed those games (9 games due to injury) he would have had a better PER than Harden....Again.

Stop comparing that guy to Wade already, it's ridiculous. One guy is a two way player...the other has a nice beard.

That Wade had a 22 PER while missing the games he missed suggests that he had one of the best seasons for a SG in over 30 years.

The other guy has 11 minute Youtube videos making fun of his defense.

His blowing of the 05' ECF's was epic. Larry Brown ran circles around him, while SVG's answer was just to hand the ball to D.Wade and hope he won it on his own.

SVG flat out choked with 8 minutes left in game 7. Go back and watch those last 8 minutes as he calls 1-4 P&R's...(Hint..Shaquille Oneal is a #5, and Wade is a #2)

I think when LeBron didn't get DPOY two years ago, where he deserved it and instead it went to Tyson "2nd Team All Defense" Chandler, LeBron gave up on playing significant D during regular season. His numbers declined last year, and took even a bigger hit this season.

Can't say I blame the guy. When you guard 4 positions, while the other guy can't crack the All D first team the year he is selected DPOy...well...that tells you everything you know.

Well, I'm not sure what he could've done that would've made much difference after Wade got injured in Game 5.

Probably could've run the offense more through Shaq at the end but who knows. We would've gotten killed by San Antonio without Wade anyway.

By that same notion, we could be working on a 4 peat instead of a 3 peat if Spoelstra had started Mario Chalmers and benched Ilgauskas earlier. It happens. Doesn't make either guy a bad coach

These are Lebron James' Defensive Rankings according to Synergy: (DEFENSE IS EFFORT)

    Overall 118th
    ISO Def. 126th
P&R Ball Handler 9th **(He showed effort to keep people in front of him)
    Post Up 46th
    Roll man 89th
Spot up 115th (horrific ranking considering all that takes is awareness)
Offscreener 37th (Team hardly ever do this to Bron because you don;t want to cut athletes loose on your offense)
Hand Off's 59th (Same as Above)

Now WATCH...Lebron James will get DPOY votes, and will likely make 1st team All-Def.

Larry Brown ran circles around a lot of people. And we still probably would've won if Wade had been healthy.

SVG is a good coach who is the about the best a team like Minnesota can hope for. They are not getting Izzo or any other huge name.

There are only a few great coaches in the NBA.
