If someone forgets about a player, its on them. I fail to see why player speculation here is treated differently from player speculation during FA.
Exactly. It should be on them, but if someone reminds them in this thread they gain an advantage. Again, I don't think it's a huge deal, but I think it's just good etiquette.
I just don't understand why we try to make the game as close to reality as possible until it could be an inconvenience. By this logic, aren't Mock Drafts pointing out who needs what position and where you'd rank the players to the public "bad etiquette"?
IMO we have seen the biggest reach, and the biggest steal thus far in the draft has been within the past 24 hours.
How is a bunch of GMs talking about who's available close to reality? Do all of the GMs sit together and discuss who's falling? And sure doing a mock draft could help people, but it's not the same. There are plenty of rankings you could go and search for around the internet. It's not the same as in the moment seeing people bringing up a name that you may have forgotten about. This is all part of the game. I feel it helps out others to discuss these things, but to each his own.
Well, its not quite the same. For one, how is calling out players a part of the real draft? The commentators on TV do it but the teams arent watching them. Secondly, Mock Drafts are not done during the draft, theyre done prior to the draft so technically you arent calling out players. Lastly, what someone doing a mock draft perceives as a need of yours you may not actually consider a need. For example, I was mocked to get numerous tackles in every mock except for Sports24/7's mock. Tackle was never in play for me in round 1. Not even a little bit. So how is it bad etiquette to do a mock draft?
I think it's because people may forget that someone is still on the board. I don't think it's an issue early on in the draft but I can see where people get annoyed later on (ie, beyond the first round).
IMO the biggest steal of the draft so far is Taylor Lewan at 24 with Kouandjio biggest reach. Matthews at 12 is good value too
hey it should make 2 GM's happy Other then that I think the draft is going pretty much how I expected. A few surprises though, didn't expect all 3 QBs to go top 6
None of what you just said was any different pre draft or during the draft.... only the fact you have an imaginary mustache on and youre pretending to be Ditka before, and now you shaved it off, dyed your hair red, grew a vagina and pretend to be Ireland (just a joke, not a personal attack, dont go pofo)
Id say I have a pretty good sense of humor, though its a bit dry at times and mostly limited to fart jokes.
damn that's pretty good! Only off by 1. You're like the f***ing rain man of smell distinction. Would hate to know how much spunk you whiffed in your day to develop such an acuity.
Looks like I have until tomorrow to make my pick, I'll teach everyone a lesson for making others wait.
Who are you going to teach? The guy who did it doesn't pick again until 54. So trade back to 53 first and don't punish those that have been just fine ;p In fact the only people you would affect over the next several picks are the teams that were already affected by Tampa the first time around.
