Sorry to hear that, jt. Hopefully it had not spread. If it has, nOt sure it helps, but I just saw a documentary about a famous chef who every doctor was saying they had to remove all these parts (including his tongue) because of the cancer, but then he went to a place where they were doing outside-the-box thinking and actually put the cancer into remission. Basically these doctors are iving hope to people who don't get a real shot at getting better elsewhere. Here's the info, from a quote in the wikipedia article about this dude: Anyways, what stood out was that Achatz asked the doctors, "Why is everyone else telling me this can;t be done, and you're the only ones telling me it's possible?" and the doctor was like "SOmeone has to be the smartest guy in the room." to which Achatz said, "How do we know you're not just crazy" and the Dr. said, "Cant I be both?" The point is, don;t let any ****ing doctor tell you your Mom won't be okay and to give up hope…. no matter what. there is ALWAYS some outside the box **** that can be tried. Also, there's a great book called Choose To Live ( http://www.amazon.com/Choose-Live-Journey-Cancers-Vibrant/dp/1600378366 ) about a couple who BOTH had late stage incurable cancer and the outside-the-box approach that helped them defeat the cancer. Be there for your Mom, bro. She needs you to beleive and have faith, in case she gets scared and doubts her own. I'll be praying for you and your Mom. Barry p.s. - ine last thing… I also heard a guy talk about his Dad getting diagnosed with cancer and the doctors wanted to tell the Dad he had six months, and the son (who was in his twenties or thrities) told the doctors he'd kill them if they gave his Dad ANY such expectation that he would only last a certain amount of time.. he forced the doctors to not tell the Dad any predictions… and then he literally rented every comedy movie in existence and watched them every day with his Dad in the hospital room, laughing, bonding, etc and in a couple months (according to this guy) the cancer was in remission (obviously they were also treating it with medical approaches too) and they went home… the power of attitude and mind can help along with medical stuff. Good luck bro, and much love to you and your family.
helping her grieve and let go of her father's death may alleviate some of her down feelings and make it easier for her to stay hopeful about her own prospects too. I see too many people fall ill after losing someone important too them.. it takes a toll man. Not sure how you help her process and grieve and let go of her Dad but man.. this is just too many things to deal with at once. Wish this hadn't happened to you.. hoping the tests come back with good news.
Thanks guys! I really appreciate it! I consider all you guys a second family. She's going in for surgery tomorrow around 3 pacific time. She has stage iv which is scary, it's spread to her liver

Just saw all of your posts bro, thank goodness surgery went well! Keep fighting, be strong, and keep laughing! Make your mama smile any chance you get.
Small update, there may be some blockage in her kidney, she's not urinating as much as she is suppose to, it could be the lack of water she's getting but the doctors are running test, she's in a lot of pain but she's walking and each day she's walking further which is good. Hope the kidney test come out good!0
Last night a cop knocked on my door and told me that my dogs were chasing people on bikes. I was thoroughly confused, so I went ahead and told the cop that my dogs down own any bikes.
So glad your mom is pulling through Jt. She's doing great and I'm confident she'll make a full recovery.
MPs? Or does the Marines call them something else? Got caught having sex on a restricted beach area outside Hurlburt Field, FWB, FL once late at night by a female AF SP. The SP was cool and she and I had a good laugh about it and she let me and the girl go with a verbal warning. Saw her in the mess hall a week or so later and she was staring at me like she thought she knew me, but couldn't place me. She was sitting with some other SP's, so I circled around, walked by their table, looked at her and said "What? You don't recognize me with my clothes on?" Ended up hooking up with her a few nights later. There was no resisting... ;-)
Hi there... Anyone that could help me out here: http://www.thephins.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81235 Thanks in advance
For sure see the stadium, then about 6P shoot over to the plugged nickel for **** and tails....I mean cocktails. They have fantastic upbeat music that you just lose yourself in, great dancing and everyone is very flirtatious, it's a really good time.
Just had to have my dog, Bess, put to sleep yesterday. She was 17 years old, and had a great life, but it's still breaking my heart. I work from home, so today has been particularly tough, keep looking around the house expecting to see her in all the usual places. My wife had to go into work today as usual, and unfortunately has a boss who just "doesn't get dogs" so she's had a hard time of it too. It'll get better, I know it will as this was my 2nd dog, but it's hard at the moment.
Agreed. My dogs get on my nerves at times, but I'd be feeling pretty miserable if I lost one. Not looking forward to that time. Worst part is they're all close to the same age, so it'll probably happen one right after the other.
Bringing home pizza dough, pepperoni, cheese, and sauce for homemade pizzas tonight for the kids gunna be fun!
I'm in a similar boat. I have 7. 2 are the same age, then 3 are the same, then the last 2. Well, one iof the last two probably won't live as long as the other, because he's a special needs dog. He's got serious liver problems. We basically took him in so he can be happy till he dies. Our vet has no idea how he's alive now based on his liver tests.
I'm sorry for your loss. 17 is a good, long life; savor your memories with her. And when you're ready, there are lots of pooches waiting in shelters to make new memories with you.
