"The Dolphins didn’t only make changes on the active roster this offseason they also hired a new offensive coordinator in Bill Lazor, as well as some other new coaches.

Lazor is coming off of a notable season with the Philadelphia Eagles where he helped develop quarterback Nick Foles into the highest rated passer in the league. Foles threw for 2,891 yards, 27 touchdown passes and just two interceptions for a rating of 119.2 and Lazor was his quarterbacks coach. Eagles head coach Chip Kelly thinks Miami has got a good one in Lazor running the offense.

“Billy’s very, very intelligent,” said Kelly, who is entering his second season with the Eagles after coaching at the University of Oregon. “I think one of the first things that struck me when we first interviewed him was his intelligence just kind of jumps out at you. He’s an Ivy League guy that has a great way of teaching and has great knowledge in terms of the game. He did a great job with our quarterback position.

“I think everybody’s product of what you see on the field and obviously Nick deserves credit because Nick’s the one who’s playing but Billy was the guy that got him prepared to play so I think Billy did a great job with him. I think he’s got great experience in terms of being a coordinator at the college level but has also coached with the Seahawks and the Falcons and the Redskins, so he’s got lot of NFL experience. I thought it was a great opportunity for him and I think he’s going to do a really good job down there.”

Good enough for chip, good enough for me.

It's fluff but still good to hear. I'm actually excited for Lazor. More so than the beginning of last year.

If he just coaches up RT and at least is not entrenched in predictability and, at times, stupidity as was the last OC, I will be quite happy.

Better work your *** off is what I'm hearing..

This is what I like about this head coach, he demands that you act like a prof and do your part in terms of work ethic..finding a team like that may have some tough decisions but stick to the philosophy and I believe it will pay off, don't settle for slackers or talented players with poor habits.

I really have to believe that Lazor looked at Tannehill on tape and thought "I can make that guy a star".

Well, he's got to better than Sherman. Then again, that wouldn't be hard to do. Hopefully he's all that and helps Tannehill take his game to the next level.

Now, with Moreno in fold, he's got another weapon to work with. If we get another skill position in the draft like Ebron, Evans or Cooks, and we get Gibson back, this offense is looking a lot more formidable.

Dont sell Sherman short, it takes a lot of creativity to give up 58 sacks in 16 games.

Managing players is a part of the job. You can't expect to have 53 self motivated-balls to the wall players, that just not how the NFL works. Gotta be able to motivate and deal with a wide range of different personalities if you're going to be successful pro coach.

100 percent agree, it's only one thing that I'm acknowledging that I like, the one thing that our coach has to show yet, is, if he can motivate men to become their best, and to get them to walk thru walls for him, something that is the true talent of a head coach..

You know what's weird, Manzeil yesterday was giving Sherman props for bringing in so many good Olineman, and himself of course, you would think between him, Philbin and turner they could of gotten better results, Ireland really strapped them in terms of talent.

    Slightly left of center
If Lazor can call a screen or a draw play. A SLANT ROUTE TO COUNTER A BLITZ AND I JUST MIGHT NEED CLEAN SHORTS I would call that a vast improvement.
