I like it tough physical corner, has experience. Him with Taylor and Davis would be nice compliments to each other.
Same here. I remember him being a legit corner, then the fight with Andre Johnson happened and I havent heard from him since. Dunno if hes lost a step or not....what his strengths are (man/zone).....will need someone with more experience in watching his game give an opinion.
As many Titans games as I've been to, I can tell you that Cortland Finnegan, when he was a Titan, was a VERY dirty player. Not borderline, but straight up dirty. After his well-publicized fight with Andre Johnson, he hasn't been quite so cocky. As a veteran backup, I might take a 1-year flyer, at the right price, to see how he fits in with the Phins. He could come in and do very well, he could also fizzle. He could also be a cancer. His old coach with the Titans... Jeff Fisher... signed him to a 5-year deal in St Louis ($27 million guaranteed), and then released him after only two seasons. Bear that in mind. I wouldn't go near him, personally. But, it could work out. Stranger things have happened.
Not as a starter, and not for more than 2milly. Remember Coyle has revived a handful of careers of secondary guys.
He made Adam Jones relevant again, lowball the guy..if he goes with it he brings some things to the table as far as depth and leadership.
DERP DERP...pretty obvious We need another corner with nfl experience...... And he's still better than Nolan Carroll.
Uhh, I think you mean Cortland innegan... I guess Andre was mic'd up during the game, and at one point he goes to the ref to complain about "#31" and ask him to keep an eye out, to which the ref replies something along the lines of "...I always watch him on every play". DO NOT WANT.
Per Pro Football Focus Courtland Finnegan was the 109th-ranked corner in football last year (out of 110). This would be a depth move. Not worth the Trouble
What trouble? He's had off the field issues? Or are you talking about his in your face demeanor ala Steve Smith?
I hope the Incognito-Martin 'incident' doesn't make this fan base/team gun shy of guys who play with fire.
We ain't signed the 109th guy either. Not yet anyway. The only thing I can figure is they think his decline was due to physical problems that have since healed. Also, Kevin Coyle has a good track record with veteran DB reclamation projects.
Yeah, I didn't mean to say we signed him. Rushing. I didn't think he would be rated that low. If Coyle can do his thing, I wouldn't really have a problem with that it.
I think it could be good move, especially if Finnegan is in the slot full time. I'll be pissed if he gets more than what Philly gave Nolan Carroll though.
lol I remember all the **** we got about, "not landing" Finnegan, Cook, and Fisher last year. My how things changed.
I'll give you Finnegan, but certainly nothing wrong with Cook or a Fisher. Jared had backup QBs most of the year and Fisher is stuck in the worlds toughest division.
Bradford still played like half the year didn't he? Fisher is very overrated, imo. He seems to be doing mediocre in STL, which he is.
http://www.stltoday.com/sports/foot...cle_a194a111-6f22-5972-b020-b2ebc189dc11.html OUCH. Got to wonder about his injury history in St Louis. First 6 games went well and then he fell off the face of the earth. He'd have to really pass a stringent physical and even then I could only see a depth move. Probably just a quick look.
Sign him and Patterson. Draft Joyner from FSU. Boom. Secondary is above average. We get a good ILB and we could have a real nasty d. Getting Starks back was huge...and cheap
To comfort my good friend DJ before he heads off into his slumbers of an evening, I've agreed to regular rotate various Molly pix for the foreseeable future.
He has a fair amount of talent on his roster but is stuck in what is by far the toughest division in football.
