He could work from Costa Rica and do a better job than what essentially Dolan is doing. I'm sorry but Knicks fans will and should be happy if Phil can take ANY power out of that *** hats hands. Rather Heat fans like the move or not.

Perhaps. but my point is that it's going to be harder to exercise that authority from Montana.

But good luck. Hope you get him.

What is it with Tony Brothers BTW?

I can't figure it out except to say that he lets the opposing team foul LBJ and he keeps the Heat front line on a short leash with foul trouble.

Oddly enough, he has killed us in the playoffs, but we had begun to turn our record around with him in the Reg. Season. Then yesterday happened.

But no matter...Heat has to get their **** together FAST, they got a better team coming in tonight. Washington is good, and the Heat needs to put the Pacers in their rear view mirror already.

As for Phil to the Knicks....hey..why not? Can't be much worse than what is happening now. I am sure he will bring relevance back to NY.

I'm just sick of people spewing about how tough they play us. You realize every team in the NBA plays us tough right? They aren't special...they are a first or second round and goodbye playoff team.

Would it have been coincidence if CP3 revealed a gold/purple show before his nixed deal to the Lakers :shifty:

Maybe...but now you have to think about it until hes securely in NY lobg term. I love it.

Since James Dolan took control of the NY from his dad Charles in the mid 90's the Knicks have done NOTHING. Thats 20 years of virtual irrelevance from a team that has an extraordinary amount of crazy and passionate fans. The same fans that buy jersey after jersey, purchase tickets to games and watch religiously on MSG Network which is owned by cablevision which is also owned by James Dolan. The same fans that have planned a protest outside MSG in a week and a half because theyre fed up with the dipstick running the team. Sure it probably wont help their cause but no press is better then extreme negativity. You have to really tick off people to get them to organize about a sports team. Its not something that impacts my wallet or anyones wallet but Dolans. At some point even the biggest idiot has to realize hes doing it all wrong and Jimmy D is definitely amongst the biggest idiots with regards to basketball. Even Dolan needs to realize he messed up throwing Donnie Walsh out on his *** after Walsh cleaned up Isiahs mess and made the Knicks somewhat relevant again.

Bron going for 23/7/8 on 75% and feels like a bad game for the man.
    Think about it.

Good win, Wade cooked, was good to see.

No matter how many titles Bron wins in Miami, AAA will always be Wade's House.

I think most fans would say that but honestly if you had to kick one out of said house, you're crazy if you'd kick Bron out.

    Its Lebrons house IMO.

I think Hinkie should get Executive of the year award. I'm serious. This is an all time great tank job, future GMs will look what he did with this Philly team and hope that their teams will be half as miserable this as this Sixers. I genuinely hope you guys get the first pick, lord knows you guys deserve it lol

But seriously, we all knew what they will try to do, and he executed to perfection.
Bravo, I say to you good sir, bravo.

 Kind of true. Two really good young players and you can't win a damn game.....so obvious.

Good thing this year is even if you land the second or third pick you're getting a stud.

MCW picking up bad habits though. There are downsides to doing what they're doing.

They want that worst record which guarantees a Top 4 pick. There are 4 super studs in the draft. 76ers could use any of them

Phil to NYK looks like its happening according to Marc Berman of the NY Post. The post is generally a rag but Berman has a 50/50 track record. Says Phil may live in NY during the season, may see 15M per and maybe a partial ownership stake. This could be awesome. Even if Phil has no experience in building a team and even if he cant turn poop in to gold, he brings instant credibility and players will want to play in NY more so then ever knowing 11 rings is running things. Dolan needs to shut up and enjoy his pockets getting fatter.

Not if he wants a title and more endorsements :shifty:

I mean I'm sure he gets plenty of endorsements in NY but he'd probably get even more playing in Miami with Bron.

Lupica says this is going to be a disaster..and I tend to agree with his reasoning.

This is just one giant money grab by Phil Jackson.

The Guy is planning to do the job from MONTANA. MONTANA. MONTANA. and he is 69 Years Old?

When Riley took the Heat job..he was 51....he is now 68..but he has built the organization in his image for 18 years.

This is Bill Parcells all over again. The Knicks are going to pay Phil Jackson his retirement fund.

I do think he stays but I'm not sure it matters or gives him reason. Hes nevee winning a title in NY unless Lebron leaves the East or gets hurt.

Unless Phil can somehow build his own big three but its incredibly difficult through FA or everyone would be doing it.

No salary cap or luxury tax on GM's, the Knicks are in a no lose situation because the FO can't get any worse. Also he will work in NY during the season. It's impossible for this to be a bad thing.

Unless there is a youth infusion, Miami doesn't have anymore than a 2-3 year window with the current roster. Building for a 2015 takeover makes sense because it coincides with a likely Heat decline.

The roster is going to be reworked this offseason with noone under contract except Cole I believe.

Plus rumors that Wade, Bron and Bosh will take even less this time to secure the future.

Not sure why its likely we decline. Only guy that may is Wade. Bosh and Bron just keep getting better.

Plus Oden looks like the guy who was the #1 pick. Hes basically a rookie since he's barely gained NBA experience and if he stays healthy and comes back next year it could be a huge problem for the East for years to come.

    Wishful thinking.

The Heat's window is MUCH larger than 2-3 years. They have a perfect cap situation going forward to re-work the entire supporting cast around the Big Three, starting next season.

But the guy we replace him with that will have a 10 to 14 million a year contract....WILL.

and..He is still the best SG in the NBA in 2014...so who knows...
