Yah as soon I saw Ricky's bid I felt so sorry for you that I wanted to buy you a drink. Like you just got dumped or something ;p
Bringing this thread back to its original purpose, the Miami Dolphins welcome Toby Gerhart. Combined with Lamar Miller and Shonne Greene, with a hint of Marcus Thigpen thrown in for good measure, expect a much improved running attack.
Hater.... Also, the Miami Dolphins would like to welcome Michael Oher to the team. Our offensive is mostly, if not totally, complete.
...So, I just put more work in the O-line in one offseason than Jeff Ireland did in all of his years with the team. Anyone willing to be my reference?
Bears have signed josh McCown and welcome back his skill and knowledge of this same unit that was the 2nd best offense in the NFL. He is expected to battle it out with newly acquired Brian Hoyer( who was killing it last year) and tyrod Taylor for the starting job. He is expected to be the frontrunner but i have been tol the team WANTS Hoyer to WIN the job.. They have also signed longtime bear, Roberto garza to team back up with Kyle Long for 1 more year. Seems to be a nice start to solidify the team, and it is assumed that they will now look to get the defensive backfield squared away. Word is Dashon Goldson is schedules to come in for a visit tomorrow once the docket is cleared.
Bills welcome running back Ben Tate to the team. He'll be paired with Shane Vereen and Johnathan Franklin... Running behind Cordy Glenn, Logan Mankins, Eric Wood and Louis Vasquez, this group should help balance the offense and assist young QB EJ Manuel in his development. Fred Jackson is on the block, as a reminder. Highest pick gets him.
The Browns are excited to welcome the best center in the NFL back to Cleveland in Alex Mack. We were hoping to get him cheaper, but he's well worth the price we paid.
Bills also welcome WR Aldrick Robinson to the team. He had a little bit of a breakout month at the end of last season for the Skins. 12 catches for 213 yards in his last four games for a team that was struggling offensively down the stretch.
Anyone keeping track of the highest bids for comp pick filling? Curious to see if FA is just top heavy this year or if it trickles right down to the bottom.
The Steelers would like to welcome CB Trumaine McBride for a measley 1.1M. Mcbride played great for the NYG last year.
Alex can vouch for me on this. Back before I went hog wild trading for corners McBride was high on my list. I had him budgeted at $4.5 million. So nice score. I do believe he was #1 in catch percentage against and #5 in QBR against according to PFF? Or do I have that switched?
LOL at Oakland spending 1/3 of their cap on Graham & Greg Olsen... especially when Peyton Manning almost never uses 2 TE formations. If Manning liked or wanted 2 TE formations, they would've happened years ago. Last year he threw 581 passes with 1 or 0 TE personnel, and just 50 with 2+ TE formations. In 2012, it was 515 to 68. His final year in Indy, it was 639 to 40. Meanwhile, the technician Peyton, who relies on the precision of the quick passing game and is losing his arm strength downfield, is surrounded by no slot receiver and has a pair of young starting perimeter receivers who are meant for a vertical passing offense and are still in need of developing. Peyton doesn't need Jimmy Graham to be successful and never has; he needs a trio of solid, dependable receivers and one good receiving TE like he was already given in Olsen. But no, let's go full steam ahead with the overkill at the expense of Manning's best interest. I'm tempted to bid it up to see how far it'll go.
The Seahawks welcome the massive, mauling duo of 6'4 330 Jason Peters & 6'6 340 right guard Geoff Schartz. Robert Quinn & Donkeyshlong Suh can kiss my ***.
Nah, I've got like $50 million left. I think I'll go after your target players... and Skeets... and Vans.
Titans Welcome: OLB Keith Rivers who grades as a positive run stuffer. DE: Willie Young who had the third most pressures of any 4-3 End. Both at the minimum.
Todd Oakland is doing you a favor. No single player is worth 3/13 of the salary cap. This bidding war is stupid.
Do people always whine this much when they lose out on a player? Sorry I pissed in your Cheerios, dude.
