in fact, four teams had bids on Mack. three on Worilds, two on Munnerlyn, two on Howard... the rest all had one (Michael Johnson almost resigned with the Bengals, didn't he Fin O? ). not that it means anything now. Just interesting how it went down.
Not all of us have the time to check every person on a list. He should be a free agent and that was discovered tonight. The mistake was found before free agency and it could be easily corrected. Your obviously giving the Panthers a break. Just saying.
rosters were essentially frozen when I handed them out a few weeks ago. I said at that time that any mistakes or corrections on salary should be brought to my attention as soon as possible. I'm keeping it status quo and not giving anyone a break. The Panthers planned according to how their list was. They made a decision to tender Lafell. I think it would be unfair to him to change Lafell's status at this late stage. If it were your player, how would you feel? just asking.
If it were my player I would certainly understand the reasoning in making him a UFA. I probably wouldn't like it but I would understand the reasoning behind it. I checked the Falcons roster for any mistakes there may have been. I honestly don't have the time to check every person on a RFA list. I don't think the panthers GM did this on purpose and he probably didn't know. However the fact is he isn't a RFA and some ppl may have much more interest knowing they won't be losing a coveted pick if he was a UFA. I won't post about this again. I wasn't trying to argue with you but just wanted to give my opinion. I also wanna take the this time to thank you Paul. You're doing a lot of hard work on this GM league and I know we all really appreciate you. Griddles couldn't do it this year and you really stepped up. Thanks again for doing a lot of dirty work for us and making this another great experience.
Just for the record Paul isn't doing anything different from GIK in this situation. GIK for the most part froze rosters also once posted. Edit: Wow...I should really sleep....that was a funny flub. *Goes back to laughing at Bruce Springsteen covering Royals.*
For the record (Skeet sent me a nasty text), I also think Paul has been doing a stand up job this year. I just like making fun of Skeet when given the opportunity.
You ****ing serious? You want me to start fixing all your errors in text messages again? You can't even properly use Don't!
hehe.. Don't... why would he use that? Skeet: I'm going to take a picture of my schlong and send it to your mother. GIK: Doit
Titans get back to the point of this thread and welcome back strong safety Bernard Pollard. With he and Moore in the secondary we feel like we have a lot of scheme flexibility. Love the leadership too. What one of his teammates had to say (real life).
In short... You need a veteran presence to calm your defense down after ANOTHER Flacco interception. Good move.
The Steelers would like to welcome DL Jason Jones for 550K. Jones had an injury plagued 2013 but previously had been an effective interior pass rusher. The Steelers think they can help Jones recapture his form as a grinder who gets on everyones nerves and hits the QB quite often from the DT position
@lacanglazer rumor out of the league office is that a team went over their salary cap on one of their re-sign bids. League is currently investigating the matter. #HUGE
@lacanglazer one team has been cleared of wrong doing by a technical snafu at the league office. apparently a french fry got lodged in the middle of a keyboard and a record keeping transaction was not entered correctly. #McDonaldsFriesAreBest
Anyone who doesn't wanna bid $15-20 million on Cliff Avril.... Chris Clemons at 9.6M is available for a 5th. He looked great in the SB with a sack & 4 hurries, 2 forced fumbles, and a pass defended.
