Watched a Tully Blanchard/Arn Anderson vs. Tito Santana/Rick Martell Tag Match......decent match

Then the Live NXT show had last year's match of the year: Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro best of 3 pin falls. (What a match!)

This thing is awesome...soooo much content. They nailed this. Ball is in your court NBA, NFL, MLB, UFC....

 

Honest question but do you think there's really a demand for something like this in the major sports? And if so what content would there be?

I mean besides from being able to view any old game at any time (assuming that's even possible do you the massive amount of games that would be available) what other content could their be that the MLB Network, NFL Network, NBA Network doesn't already do?

I actually think what the MLB, NBA, NFL already has on their own TV stations is plenty good.

I think there's definitely something there with the UFC, especially since probably 90% of the fans haven't seen old UFC PPVs, but not sure about the major sports.

 

On the major sports...they can change their subscription services to this streaming platform for starters...

Then the icing is the old games, and the original programming, behind the scenes stuff such as a training camp cam, and the daily media avails televised live.

They got TONS of stuff to put on there.

 

I think the main draw would be an all access pass so you can view any game at any time or see multiple games at once or like a "red zone" type deal and just make improvements on the sports packages already available.

As far as original programming the Networks already have those types of shows and I'm assuming each major sport's team channel does as well. I don't think you'll ever get better team specific coverage that you get with the main cable TV provider's specific sports channel would.

I know certain teams like the Red Sox and Yankees already show stuff like live batting practice or live spring training stuff. On the MLB Network they also show live batting practice at different parks, etc. It's really not as exciting as it sounds.

Take the MLB Network for example, I think what they do in terms of games, coverage, original programing and showing old games is great. I can't really see what else they could do to make it better unless you had a choice to pick and choose what game to watch at a specific time or have an achieve of older games (which truth be told I probably wouldn't watch more than 2 or 3 times a year if that).

I just think what the major sport's main station's coverage already carry is good and if you add that with your specific team's regional network what more could you really ask for. For example I think NESN (Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, Pats) and YES (Yankees, Giants/Jets, Nets) do a nice job with original programing already. I can't see how a sports network could match that, nor would I really care to see original programing of teams I don't like or follow. But it could just be that NESN and/or YES has a grip on this stuff and not every team's sports network is the same or as good.

Just playing devil's advocate of course.

So the ps4 app has no search function (didnt get the 1.10 update yet) the ps3 does though. However the stream seems to run much better on the Ps4. Decisions....

Finishing up Fall Brawl 97...my boy has never seen the "war games" set up so we are watching the nwo vs 4 horsemen main event. Cant believe id ever say this but compared to Cole I really miss good ole Tony

The Warlord vs. Bulldog feud was hilarious. I remember reading about it in the WWF Magazine and trying to calculate whose arms were bigger and thus, if Bulldog could break it or Warlord would be successful.

Rough night for RAW. Big E took Cesaro's finisher wrong and looked like he hurt himself. And Cena looks to have messed up his knew in some capacity.

My guess is somewhere in Chicago, a phone is ringing...

 

Also, it looks like we have:

Undertaker vs. Brock
Daniel Bryan vs. HHH
Wyatt vs. Cena (assuming John can go)
Batista vs. Orton (assuming they don't change)

 

Yeah RAW was pretty rough last night, the only segment that worked was the Brock/Undertaker promo. The GB crowd was pretty bad too, you have Reigns and Bray in the ring and you're chanting "Husky Harris", "CM Punk" and "Randy Savage"?

It looks like Batista might turn heel soon, he was suppose to turn heel last night but it was changed and now he's being advertised on Smackdown to "response to the fan treatment" he's been getting since he's been back. If they turn Batista heel don't they have to put Bryan in the match? You can't have a heel vs. heel title match that no one even cares about people make literally leave the Dome if that match goes on last ala the Triple H/Orton WM match a few years ago.

I do have a bad feeling Bryan isn't going to get into the title match though. I hope I'm wrong but it seems like him coming out and asking for a match against Triple H is a way to try and get the fans on board with that match and if he's asking for it it's ok he's not in the title match.

And geez is Batista out of ring shape, he was blown up pretty early in that Del Rio match last night.

 

Batista was out of breath after doing his gatlin gun entrance. Dude is pathetic. "They cheer; I cheer. They boo; I BOO BACK!"

I love how Randy and Heyman both pretty much called out the Batista hate. Randy says "ummm no one likes you Dave"

And Heyman says "Its obvious to me, and its especially obvious to you all. Batista and Orton need to get their match out of the way BEFORE Mania"

Hopefully thats foreshadowing. Because I was literally depressed they had Bryan force the crowd to cheer for him Vs HHH......that guy needs to get the **** over himself. No one cares about the game anymore. And honestly, his stupid "Ok buddy, lets see if we can get you on the card, buddy" schtick is so lame. I remember him being a better talker as The Game, as he is now as the authority.

Looked like Cena was legit hurt, keeping his lower body under the ropes as he was being attacked so no one hit his knee more. If thats the case, looks like the fast forwarded Reigns push, and he may be facing Wyatt at mania. We'll see.

Cesaro and Swagger are on the way to single life, i reckon.

 

Conflicting reports on Cena. I am leaning towards not as injured as they are leading us to believe.

 

I loved Heyman's "shoot comment" that wasn't suppose to be a shoot comment at Orton/Batista. He's simply the best the WWE has on the mike right now and it's not even close.

I just have a bad feeling Bryan is wrestling Triple H and that's it. I hope I'm 100% wrong but it just felt like that on Monday. It just seems like Vince and Co. promised Batista the WWE title win at WM and won't back down no matter how the crowd reacts. Seriously the best thing for the crowd to do is when Batista and Orton are out there for interviews or wrestling instead of booing/cheering/chanting for Bryan/etc, simply get up and leave or stand up and turn your back to the ring and not say a single word. That sends an even bigger message to the WWE. Silence or lack of caring is the worst thing the WWE would want, with the fans booing the WWE can play it off. Imagine on RAW, Batista and Orton are in the ring trying to hype their match and everyone is standing up with their backs to the ring? Imagine that on your TV screen. It would absolutely force the WWE's hand there.

The Cena thing did look very odd. I'm thinking it might have been legit but Cena isn't badly hurt. If Cena were to miss WM then I think we'll get The Shield/Wyatts Part 2 (which wouldn't be a bad thing at all). With The Shield splitting up at the end giving Reigns a WM moment.

Dude it's Cena. He can literally have his leg cut off during the first segment on RAW and still be able to close RAW with a 60 minute Iron Man match after having his leg duct taped together during hour 2.

 

I can't believe some of you fell for that Cena "Injured" stuff.

If anything...he might have something else hurt, and he faked the knee so he can take care of the other thing first.

The Dead Giveaways:

A) Knee Injuries are not dealt with immediate hospitalization.
B) All sporting events have one Ambulance on call, and they NEVER use it for a joint injury unless there is EXPOSED BONE.
C) He held his right knee to protect it and then charged Harper on the apron to sell the segment.
D) Cena is a pretty good actor, but the guy wheeling him out on the gurney is not. He put a towel on Cena's Knee and not a stabilizing brace for a Ambulance drive.

 

I doubt they had an MRI machine available on site, probably taking him to a facility. You say he sold the knee injury and ran at Harper for the segment....I say he is a damn good performer and was doing it while injured to finish the segment. You could see the awkward "what do we do" body language from the wyatts while he was injured. They even kneel'd weird and then left the ring, and came back almost like John had signaled one last hurrah before hes carted off for the kids in the crowd or whatever.

You're right hes a good actor, but hes also a great performer, and I could def see him fighting through an injury. I tore my PCL on Wednesday and played on friday....adrenaline is a hell of a drug.

 

I'm surprised Cesaro didn't get hurt when Big E dropped him on his Neck, That was a very Physical Match. CM PUNK Chants will be very Loud next week and I love they were chanting his name at Batista and the Commentators didn't say a Word.

 

I rewatched the segment, and it still looks strange to me. It does look like a botched spot and not a "worked" injury. Could be as simple as Cena twisting his knee and then was fine once he got to the back and the WWE decided to play it up.

I'd think if it was a worked injury they would have done something bigger to put more heat on the Wyatts and give Cena more of a rub when he "comes back from the injury".

 

I mean I get the fans want to see CM Punk back and all but not sure how or why they think its the WWE's fault he walked away. They can chant his name all they want but he's the one not returning their phone calls or wants to be back. If it was up to the WWE they would have loved him to be back on the roster by now and never have left to begin with.

The WWE has to do a better job with selling injuries, if they want to create some mystery. Don't bring out an ambulance for everything.

I signed up yesterday for the free week trial and couldn't get a single PPV to load, it kept having an error message pop up.

 

I'm still thinking that Cena felt he was legit injured, he even made the dreaded X sign when he landed. The way the performers pulled off of him and the fact that they never finished the segment with a Sister Abigail leads me to believe that John thought, at least in the moment, that he was injured.

The fluff of him being loaded to the ambulance and all of that, is probably on the fly storytelling. But I have been in the ring when an injury occurs, and you immediately react the way Bray did.

I agree it still looks completely odd to me with the way all the Wyatts immediately back off of him.

I know all the sites are all reporting it was a work but I think, like you do, Cena might have thought he was really injured during the moment.
