Rosenthal reports Davis likely to be franchised.. Damn it...don't know who to blame on that one, was my favorite dolphin besides wake until it came out that he was slacking, just wondering if it should of been handled differently, or that different personalities would of brought him up to another level.
I would like all these moves, pending how cheap we can get Soliai. I think Blount ends up back in NE. Plus I don't know how well he would jive given our current locker room issues.
Dolphins will have zero tolerance for players with checkered pasts and questionable character. (Dolphins sign RB LeGarrette Blount) Never mind.
The Miami Herald reports that it won't be surprising if the Dolphins pursue LeGarrette Blount. This might be hard to do, but just imagine making a 3rd & 1
Long term there's still a possibility that jamar Taylor was worth it...it aint looking good right now, but it's possible.
Blount and Miller would make a nice tandem. Would love to get Albert, but only if the price is reasonable.
With the state of the offensive line, i'd be willing to sign Albert even if the price was unreasonable.
If he was the only LT on the market I would consider it, but there are other options out there to negotiate with. No need to shoot ourselves in the foot with a huge deal
Be it him or someone else we need players on the O line. We are probably going to overpay for somebody.
I'd actually be up for bringing back Clabo for another year or 2. His play in the second half was the polar opposite of his abyssmal first half.
I'd draft a guy to play RT as well. Clabo isn't the answer, but he can have a role in being part of the solution.
If they do this kind of hypocritical horse**** I am going to be so super pissed. Hickey just got up in front of the world and said he was going to acquire smart players. Actually I don't agree with anything mentioned on that list. Brandon Albert is too old and too much of an injury risk to give 10 mil a year to. The tag for Grimes is wicked expensive if it stacks. Incognito should sign with the Raiders and Veldheer should sign with the Dolphins. I appreciate Paul Soliai, in fact, I remember beating the drum for him to be drafted, but I don't trust him with a long term deal and guaranteed money. There are younger options on the market. Blunt? WTH? I vote sign Toby Gerhart and draft FB Trey Millard. With Millard and Gerhart we get the whole package; blocking, receiving, power running, and a couple of kids with genius IQ's.
Blount has Marshawn Lynch potential written all over him. The character concerns are there too, but the talent + size + ball skills are there. I was going nuts hoping that the moron Ireland would pick him anywhere from R5 on that draft, but no dice. This is a guy we could have had instead of a 7th-round DT who isn't even in the league anymore.
One thing to consider about our OL is we don't have to find 4 new starters. We could sign a FA LT (Albert or Monroe) and a FA guard. Then draft a RT. Brenner or Gardner could be our other guard. Our OL could be a two year work in process.
Walter Football is a useful site. They put a lot of work into it and have good info. But man, do they ever hate the Fins. They have for years and years, at least back to when we drafted Jake Long.
Not trying to be a complete hard ***, but with the original post you should likely cite the webpage, seeing that it is a direct copy and paste. http://walterfootball.com/freeagents2014rumors.php I read it the other day. The format stuck out in my mind. The guy does a nice job with that site. Tons of information. Not sure how valuable a lot of it is seeing there is a lot of opinion mixed in. But tons of it there.
Irregardless the original author still deserves the credit. At least the couple more hits in traffic he gets from the board. Like I said not trying to be a jerk just think the original link shpuld be edited to the post.
Not trying to be a complete hard ***, but "irregardless" is an incorrect word. "Regardless" is the word that should be used.
I'll remember that, but I purposely didn't put it there because I don't want to put other NFL info on the dolphin forum.
Davis was mediocre at best in Miami. He got burned so many times it was worthless. He could turn out to be a very good player but like a ton of players in the NFL he went the route of underperforming for his original team and only after facing failure and a trade or cut does he actually mature and become a decent player. Even with much improved play in Indy, he is still an average to slightly above average CB. I am quite happy to not have him on the team.
Your second-favorite player on the Dolphins was the guy who had to "call his grandma?" "Irregardless" is just one of the many indignities foisted on our language relatively recently. It is a bastardization of "irrespective (of)" and "regardless".
