If O'Neill did not stand up for his assistant trainer - given the veteran he is - then he should have been fired. But, I could not agree more with every comment above that Ross once again handled it like a complete Buffoon. It is truly amazing he has been successful. Maybe Ross is just going senile and no one can tell him about it (like Al Davis, only rather than just crazy, Ross is just stupid).
Jimmie Johnson brought him to Miami from the Cowboys in 1996. Actually Asst Trainer Troy Maurer has been with the team even longer.
Well as an 18 year veteran of the organization, he was clearly respected*. Respected enough within the organization to have been dragged out to Indianapolis under false pretence by his bosses and made an *** out of in the middle of a symposium. * - sarcasm
I am..I would need to re-certify some titles though for that gig..my stuff recently has been more private..
Aponte asked oneil if he had anything to say after being fired...oneil said to contact his lawyer this isn't over...
I swear, at this point it as if we have a combination of Michael Scott and Homer Simpson running this franchise. You think there is no way to make any more boneheaded moves, then bam! Seriously, I can't do anything but laugh at this point.
