A 2 dollar bill exists. They'll look at you a lot less funny if you say 3 dollar bill.

Some Devil's advocate for the Asian Trainer harassment and specifically labeling it undeniable racism.

We only know that he did not want to corroborate the story due to Wells conclusion that it would create a bigger problem for his further dealings with the team. We know that Martin was offended by his treatment. But in fairness, Martin found everything about the locker room to be offensive.

We don't know what the trainer thought of it. He could have felt like Josh Samuda, who openly invited the hazing, or he could have been more like Martin, quietly suffering. We don't know. (unless I'm forgetting something else from the report.)

Was Ted Danson racist for dressing up in black face to roast Whoopie Goldberg? Or was he just tone deaf, stupid, and wrong?

If I'm serious when I say it, then, yes... I would be a terrible person. If it's a joke, then, I'm not a terrible person. That's how jokes work. At least, that's how they work with people who have a sense of humor.

No what you described doesn't make you a bad person at all but if you are at work and a fellow co worker you depend on has a sister and you tell him every single day you want to abuse her and spit on her and sodomize her and gang bang her and also his mother, then maybe you need to take a step back and reassess your behavior a bit.

What he says is true and the tons of HOF's that have said this publically, even NBA teams have said it as well, they have all said the same - this behavior is vomitus in the Dolphins' lockerroom. Vomitus. The fact that Garner has not had a mental breakdown before Martin is really something.

So you all who are saying that this is normal, are doing the same as you calling it - talking like you know this to the gospel. I'll believe the various of players, hall of famers, and teams around the nation that have said this is beyond the line behavior.

Our leaders like Cam Wake, Tannehill, and others should have stepped up got in their faces and tell them these ****s on our offensive line that instead of wasting time acting like monsters, learn how to block. Try to acquire some football talent and protect the quarterback you ****s.

And what do you do if that co-worker never says **** about it to you, and instead he tells you the same things right back?

  13. vt_dolfan

And what about the multitude of players that have said this kind of talk happens all the time in a locker room.

    How bout this....

    http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports....alls-the-time-jordan-punched-him-at-practice/

It’s just one of the legendary stories about how intense Michael Jordan was during practice for the Bulls…

The day he just punched Steve Kerr during practice.

Kerr, now an analyst with TNT, was on the Dan Patrick show and recalled that day (via Nina Falcone at CSNChicago.com).

“I disagreed with him one time,” Kerr said with a chuckle. “I think he punched me in the face.”

That disagreement happened during a scrimmage at training camp when Kerr took offense to something Jordan said, and he didn’t refrain from expressing his true feelings.

“It was one of the best things that ever happened for me, I needed to stand up and go back at him, I think I earned some respect. But we have a great relationship ever since… you gotta prove it and then once you prove it, you’re fine.”

So it was with Jordan — you needed to gain his respect and trust, and once you did it was all good. But getting there was not easy.

Kerr said he couldn’t recall what the dispute was even about anymore. You wonder if Jordan can.

Wonder if Martin had just stood up for himself once....how much would have continued to happen.

He did not say the same things right back at all. you are making that up. Read the report, it discusses all back and forth texts. Stop defending an idiot like Incognito.

I am starting to wonder if we have even seen the best of Martin on the football field, having to deal with all this nonsense. If he ends up in the Colts' (Luck) or 49ers (Harbaugh) and turns his career around after being able to focus on just football. And becomes a solid NFL starter we're going to look even more ridiculous.

Its time to take the Homer glasses off, yes its allowed folks. This kind of behavior, no matter how hard some people on here want you to believe, is not the norm but the exception. Not ever acceptable..ever. I guess because the cowboys stabbed each other and had drug parties, we should feel better about this report compared to what they did...hardly. I expect more from the Dolphins....we all should demand more professionalism....not make excuses

I think it's ironic Martin's father told him to stand up for himself "Also, I learned to punch a bully in the mouth and kicked one in the balls"
Dolphins Head Trainer Kevin O'Neill pulled him aside and said "you're too nice you need to stand up for yourself"
a Dolphin player standing next to him in the lunch line told Martin "get them off your back" prior to the lunchroom breakdown.

But Jeff Ireland says the same thing and he gets blasted by everyone

Those teams don't have a giant need for Martin that a different one does. I think really he very possibly will end up with Harbaugh...in Baltimore. They're going to need at least one tackle after probably Oher goes elsewhere. If they draft a guy on the first day and also get Martin they could be set very well.

ETA: I think Oher is a good guy for the Dolphins to target in rebuilding the line, but I might be relying too much on that Sandra Bullock movie in saying that.

You're ignoring the context. Did you never read the text exchange where JMart joked about trapping McDonald (Player A, who was teased by everyone about being gay) in Incognito's house with bath salts and sand paper condoms?

Incognito is a douchebag. But I've said more offensive things than what are in this report to family. And when I cross the line, they call me out. When my vulgar language is laughed over and returned in kind, I tend to assume I didn't.

Incognito was vulgar, he behaved like a douchebag. He treated those who were less alpha male than him like ****. He probably needs a good beating. But the least offensive thing in this report to me is the language. Incognito thinks he's more charming when he's shocking. But he's just a douchebag.

Whether or not you believe Wells conclusion that Philbin knew nothing of the "toxic" environment in his own locker room. His assertion means you have to call bull**** on every coach and GM who claims that it never happened/happens in their locker rooms.

If you think Philbin is telling the truth, then how would other coaches know any better?

If you think Philbin is full of **** or in denial why would that motivation be exclusive to him?

Phibin put the coaching staff together, he brought Turner in, in my opinion Philbin is responsible and should be gone.
Philbin is responsible for the team's culture and that's a fact.

Philbin also wanted Incognito gone after the golf charity incident, Ireland chose to keep him when Cogs had a one strike rule in his contract. Had Ireland complied, this mess wouldn't have happened. Once Philbin heard the voice mail (which did not include "call me back" at the end), learned of the fine book, Incognito was suspended that night.

It doesn't matter. Leave personal **** at home and keep your job professional.

In other words, don't **** where you eat.

    It's common sense.

If it's happening in other locker rooms, that doesn't affect the Dolphins' locker room. Pointing out bad behavior in other places doesn't excuse bad behavior in your own.

Please don't stereotype NFL players for what's going on with Miami. That type of stuff is not common in other locker rooms.

No...but all this was hashed over what..three or four months ago. All thats happening is the same crap we learned about before. And nobody is defending the behavior. They just arent that in shock over it. Sorry ..not sure what to say. I think Martin needed to end this on his own ages ago.

They real upsetting part is what happened to the staffer. Thats where heads should role.

Heres a question I have...that I have yet to see raised. Martin was obviously expressing issues regarding this for some time. He suffered depression because of bullying in High School. He recounted various conversations with his parents about what was going on. Im assuming...they knew of his thoughts of suicide. His mother knew of the talk regarding his sister.

But..they did nothing themselves? Why? If I felt like my sons life was in danger...Id have been in the general managera office the next day. Why was his agent never in touch with the head coach? Why did his parents never demand his agent protect their son? Im seeing alot of nothing...except a lawsuit from his parents.

They probably saw his play in Miami and realized his best shot for more money would be a lawsuit and not a contract extension.
