Daily Bugle is Spidey, the Daily Planet is Superman.

I did not bludgeon you with my nerd boner just then, but I did just lightly graze your cheek with it. You're welcome.

'Gravity;' riveting, heart-pounding, hair-raising, beginning-to-end MAGIC like I hadn't experienced in a long time watching a movie. At one point I looked up to catch my breath around what seemed like 20 minutes in, and the film was 3/4 over.

All that, and yet not one thing happened that took me out of the story; it was all so grounded in reality, and yet so incredibly an out of body experience. I wish movies like this came along all the time, but the truth is that this is a once-in-a-decade film.

And just so you know it's still me...Sandra Bullock's haunches in her underwear: jaw-dropping. And perfect arches, too.

'Don Jon.' Starts out as standard bro-ho fare with lots of eye candy for both the boys and the girls, but you just know something deeper is going on not far in. Turns into a real movie. Worth a watch.

I hate Sandra Bullock's character though. I think it's completely unrealistic to think the character could ever be an astronaut. There's no way she could ever pass the psych and physical evaluations to get to outer space. She was freaking out at every step of the way. I certainly understand why... I would too. I would flip my **** in that scenario. In that sense, the character is relatable. Then again, I'm not fit to be an astronaut either... The striking difference between her and Clooney's character really took me out of the movie in a number of scenes. And frankly, I started to become annoyed with Bullock's "omg, ahh, omg, ahh, omg" dialog repetition.

It was a cool concept. I enjoyed it from time to time, but I think it's way overrated.

Dallas Buyers Club is a very very good movie. McConaughey and Jared Leto were fantastic.

Lone Survivor: Excellent movie. Does a great job showing the ugly side of war and just how hardcore the Seals can be.

Pretty depressing, though. Don't think there was a dry eye in the house when the credits started...

Watching Easy A with Emma Stone. Nice, funny movie. Amanda Bynes is in it too. This was right before she had her epic mental breakdown.

Last weekend, I saw "Walking with Dinosaurs," and if I wanted to watch a two-hour documentary on dinosaurs and migration, I would have saved myself the seven bucks and stayed home.

Although, seeing as my only other option was to see "The Nut Job," maybe that wasn't so bad after all...

Watched Place Beyond the Pines, not bad! Not at all what I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be Gosling vs. Cooper the whole movie, but it's actually three intersecting stories that collapse into each other chronologically.

Good guys to have on our side huh? When I was in Iraq in 2003, we were with the invasion force which consisted of 4th ID Scouts, Marines, us, some Gov't types (CIA etc) and actual Operators. Now the unwritten military rule is dont ask them who they are or what outfit they are attached with, you lose all respect from them if you do. If you PROVE to them you can hang, hump, run, shoot, and are overall just not a dumbass they will divulge to you information about themselves. With were attached and lived with those guys for 9 of 13 months in a small outpost in the main City right outside Baghdad. It was the most exciting and terrifying 13 months of my life because on one hand you were part of some pretty high speed stuff. And on the other hand you got attacked ALOT because those guys arent the type to sit around and wait for **** to pop off.

The operators serving in our military are some of the most professional people you will ever meet, all of them are in shape beyond our wildest dreams, incredibly smart, and ballsy. I am still happy I am in contact with a few of them and see them ever now and then....

Jack Reacher. Not as bad as I thought it would be. And not as over the top either. Worth a watch on Netflix, unless you hate Tom Cruise. It was also good to see Robert Duvall. Guy is 83 and still acting.

Not a bad movie actually. I went in with low expectations though. Solid action; pretty predictable. Still, not a bad flick.
The whole time I kept thinking how Cruz would make for a great Bilbo Baggins.

Would have been a great twist to have the crew pick up Tom Hanks in Castaway. Or at least find a drifting Wilson.

my wife took my 10 and 6 year old daughters to the Nut Job. When your 6 year old asks to go home in the middle of the movie, you know it's bad. They said it was worse than the first Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs.

I enjoyed Reacher. I had read the book years ago and I thought the bad guy's plan was well done along with how Reacher figured it out. Cruise was a different take on the character, but I thought he did a good job of keeping the character's essential motivations intact.

Saw dat Lego Movie, don't be put off by the PG rating, its got humor for all ages. The end was soooo close to being an overt Lego advertisement but just power through it. The animation and design were fantastic as well, and some parts were dare I say, a little psychedelic.

BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW -Dont even know how to describe it. If Carrie met Clockwork Orange met David Cronenberg met a German art film met Altered States. If Pink Floyd met Slayer. I would recommend taking LSD before watching this except for the fact that instead of having a great trip you might go out and murder people while saying "I have looked into the eye of God". Very slow paced movie with a mechanical soundtrack with a dark vision.

Children of Men is better than Gravity by a factor of 20 IMHO.

I was actually expecting so much more out of Cuaron with Gravity after the brilliance of Children of Men.

    'Last Vegas'...meh.

Should have been: fast, funny, witty, clever, good. Was: slow, ponderous, ham-handed, maudlin, predictable.

The greatest wonder of Hollywood is that, let them assemble a truly legendary cast, and ninety-nine times out of a hundred they'll give you a bag of ****.

Chalk up another for the Lego Movie. I went in knowing nothing about the movie other than there were Legos in it. I've also never played any of the Lego video games. But as the other people have said, it was pretty damn good. Lots of pop culture references and jokes. Lego Batman was hysterical. Animation was phenomenal. I'd leave kids under the age of 6 home. For a quieter theater, go to an evening movie.
