Well...honestly at this point I consider the Rams the fav to knock off Seattle. Especially once numnuts is done with them. Know what I mean.
you can have all the picks you want, but if you don't draft the goods, you may as well be picking your nose.
Don't I know it. Recall my first 3 picks from last year? Got better after that...but whew those Patton/Rambo picks were doozies. I'll probably be silently working with some draft help this year ;p
That's more trade-initiating than you attempted my way, skipper. That would put the silence on your part, no? I typically don't proceed with future trade offers if my initial offer receives a short "hell no" type reply with no counter offer or follow up suggestions to keep trade talk from stalling. Just sayin. I've been known to give up good value for trades if I think what I'm getting in return helps me out more than the value I'm sacrificing. Just look at my ThePhins fantasy league track record. Plus I'll often give up more value at the start of the trading period when I have more value at my expense to give up. I still have a full roster, so if anyone wants some solid value to help build up their team in return for a stud player, then hit me up.
You asked for a player that from the outset has been on my public 'no trade' list with an offer I doubt anyone would remotely accept. Why would I follow it up with any expectation of reasonable trade with that opening. Part of trading is feeling comfortable with those your trading with. All I got from your offer was "Lets see if I can pull a fast one on a sucker" that left me with the impression you would not be a good fit as a trade partner. Maybe that changes later, but like I said..it wasn't a good first impression and it's not like I'm anti-trade with 34 trades last year and 5 (well 4...merged 2 trades into 1) this year so far. Plus I don't really think were on the same wave-length right now anyways. Your stud hunting...where as I'm trying to hold onto the few young players with futures that I have and sell off the rest to rebuild. If something comes along that I think we can work together on....I'll be there.
Yeah a him not comfortable with that phinsational guy, comes off underhanded like a used car salesman
Certainly possible, but I have a pretty good hit %. I remember all the **** I caught for drafting Dontari Poe, you know...pro bowlers and thangs.
Are we going to know the tag numbers ahead of time? I'm good with the re-signing and tagging running concurrently, but it would be nice to know what the tag numbers will be so that we can plan out which would be better to tag and which would be better to try and re-sign.
yes, I'll definitely have those posted prior. The salary cap isn't increasing that much over last year, so if worse comes to worse, I'll just use the same #'s or increase them by the same factor as the cap increase. I actually haven't even researched it yet, they might already be posted somewhere.
I put the spreadsheets up early. You can either go to the How To Team Thread or just keep reading. I realize I may have shot my self in the foot by putting them up a day early but how much stuff could change between now and tomorrow?: 1. Download the Excel spreadsheet from this https://www.dropbox.com/s/olji09iyjh2pops/Team and FA Database 2.9.14.xls, it contains each team’s player salaries (2nd tab) and free agents (1st tab). The team salaries are listed alphabetically by team (also alpha by first name). The free agents are listed as an actual list. If you're familiar with Excel, you'll know what that is. If you aren't, basically you can select from the first row, there is a little pull down arrow next to the headers. For team, you can select your team name from the list and the spreadsheet will only show those free agents for your team. You can also use this list to perform some useful queries, such as all free agents by position type. In addition to this spreadsheet file, I'm also posting a link here to a template file that may be useful for some of you as you are just starting out (it might even be useful to some of the experienced GM's as well). It was initially created back in 2009 by GISH (and since I haven't unprotected the spreadsheet I suppose I should credit him here ). Check it out and use it as you see fit. It's essentially a way to keep track of your team as you'll want to use something outside of this forum's message board post in your team thread. You can download the template file here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6rzn5i82hfmu6sq/Team Template.xls LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS ACCESSING THE FILES FROM THE DROPBOX SITE. I CAN EMAIL THEM TO YOU INSTEAD (SHOOT ME YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS)
although I'm not sure if it was him or you, the formula for E102 is missing and C137 needs its range readjusted to =sum(e6:e126)
The yellow filled cells don't match. (Well, the one does, it's just showing what the other's supposed to look like.
not me, I never went into it as it's protected and I don't have the PW. I didn't know you could see the formulas while it was protected.
Does Gish's template break down the salaries by position. Rather not have to do that manually every time I make a change ;p That was fairly tedious last year.
yes it does break them down by position, you still need to bring everything into your team page though, so the manual part still exists here as we're limited by the confines of the message board
Hmmm I must be missing how or it's not showing up in open office's spreadsheets. It's doing the totals at the bottom but not each position. ie: Adding up all qb's salaries.
It doesn't per position. It just shows the teams total cap #. Oh wait I guess it does. Its just in a place noone would ever look.
