I honestly believe that TheBigLead itself redacted a lot, if not all, of those names. What I would note is that the 40 pages of texts that Richie Incognito's lawyer directly handed to CBS4 did not redact some of the names that TheBigLead did. They quoted the mary jane quote in its entirety while TheBigLead redacted "mary jane", for example.

I've also been told that many of those texts have been circulating for a while.

I think this is exactly right. People are really failing to put themselves in others' shoes here. It shouldn't be hard to do. Let's say you have a friend that is being accused by another person of bullying. It's not a criminal thing obviously, but it's unpleasant. You know the accusations are bullsh-t. So to defend himself your friend releases texts of HIM talking about stuff you did.

I don't know about you but I'd be pretty pissed off about that. I think 99% of people being HONEST with themselves would be.

The root of the problem is Jon Martin and how he handled his demotion/mental problems. He started this BS.

I think its fair to say at this point that Cogs is:

    - guilty of the golf course incident (which is the worst offense of all the ones being discussed)
    - innocent of bullying
    - guilty of selling out his teammates.

    and Martin is:
    - guilty of selling out his teammates
    - guilty of lying about the bullying
    - guilty of rampant drug use

They are both PsOS and once the report is released and the furor dies down, hopefully we can move on from these jackholes.

Exactly, FinD, instead of picking sides here, lets be Dolfans and just cast both these cancers out and move on, neither are good for our, or any team. They both suck. On the field and off.

No, Richie was attacked by someone he thought was his friend. Repeatedly Richie was shown in the texts to be concerned about Martin.

    Paraphrase but still:
    R - Bring $6k to Vegas.
    M - Don't know about coming.
R - Don't worry about it, let me know if you need anything.

    Brutal.

    Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?

    His teammates ultimately hurt themselves.

Anytime the TRUTH comes out and it hurts someone, it is ultimately the fault of those that weren't doing the right thing.

Case in point: Cogs at the golf event. Truth. His fault.

Honestly have no sympathy for any of them.

Jonathan Martin didn't fabricate those voicemails or text messages. They happened. Whether they constitute bullying is in the eye of the beholder but all Jonathan Martin did was reveal the TRUTH which you seem to think is a good thing.

But he did fabricate the narrative around them.

Colorado is saying that the behavior of drug & prostitution use is ultimately the fault of the people using drugs and prostitutes and not the person or people that outed that behavior.

There is nothing wrong with way the Ritchie talked to Martin. Martin was not bullied by Cogs.

Me too; I was actually proud of the guy for the way he seemed to have turned his behavior around.

The sexual assault alone should have put him on trial in the criminal justice system; the team should suffer consequences as well, for covering it up by paying hush money. That's a despicable act in itself, and it compounds Incognito's actions.

Thing is it is in public and he is doing a series of events, how come the water being pour on her head is were she drew the line? She was cool with the putter and him rubbing himself on her?

Or was it she thought about it after talking to one of her friends/family and files a report 10 hours later knowing there could be a payday? I mean if you are really that distraught after it, you wait 10 hours?

Where was there any suggestion that pouring water on her was where she drew the line? The guy rubbed a golf club against her genitals then grinded on her and grabbed her then finished off by pouring water all over her head.

Yeah I consider that sexual assault.

And here we go with the blame the victim stuff. She didn't report it for 10 hours so she must have really been OK with it. "You liked it, admit it."

As for who paid the settlement I honestly don't know. I guess I had assumed it was the Dolphins but that could've been a bad assumption. It could have been the Dolphins or Incognito. Incognito would have paid for obvious reasons. The Dolphins might have paid the settlement because she was a volunteer at a Dolphins event and the assault occurred during this event and was perpetrated by a Dolphins employee. I believe that gives them some amount of legal responsibility though obviously I'm not in position to say how much. Enough that I'm sure they could've been named in a lawsuit though.

Unless he is pissed off that those guys didn't speak up and have his back in the He-Said She-Said controversy when Martin began vilifying him.

I'd bet Hartline's a big partier and drug user, but Hartline had Richie's bad publicly… and Richie didn't drag him down in the texts. So maybe Richie is sending something back at those guys he considers cowards instead of the true friends he thought they were.

Doesn't make it right. Just throwing out a theory as to why he'd do it.

This jumps out at me from the article:

I can't make sense of that. How can Pouncey still be close friends with Martin after all that's gone down? This is pretty ****ing confusing.

Seriously, these players have the weirdest locker-room relationships and situation I've ever seen.

Hmm...that brings out another issue, if the Fins were involved in the settlement and NOT RI, then could that be considered a breach of the CBA regarding Cogs salary?? Just a question and none of us really know, but that's a possibility...the Fins would be between a rock and a hard place depending on who she threatened to 'sue' if they didn't reach the settlement...I mean, did the Fins supply the legal counsel and represent both RI and themselves ?? Is that a breach of the CBA??

Too complicated for me, but it's very likely that the issue and the settlement terms were relayed to the league, so it must have been 'amenable' to the CBA, whatever they actually did...

It wouldn't be considered a breach of the CBA or compensation on behalf of Incognito because they would specifically be settling with her in order to get her to sign a confidentiality agreement where she agrees not to sue the Miami Dolphins. They wouldn't be doing anything on behalf of Incognito. It woudl be on their own behalf because as a volunteer for the Dolphins working a Dolphins event, for the Dolphins to have an employee commit that kind of assault on her during their event, they could have legal culpability.

Its been reported a few times by different people. Some in the local media and some in Club. I believe it because it sounds as if it has come from different sources, meaning it didn't seem like one reporter was quoting or taking info from another reporter (as tends to happen). I've also seen nothing refuting either, which considering it paints Ireland in a bad light and he had Armando as a mouthpiece also lends credence to it. I'd also like to mention it came out in Club months before it came out in the paper too.
