They got that wrong. Tannehill was/is a first round talent, Vernon and Matthews were excellent value. Miller is a good number 2 back.

They REALLY got the Seahawks and Bears wrong though.

Honestly the Tannehill pick isn't really that funny, he might be right.

Really? I think it's actually one of the few things Jeff Ireland got right.

In fact, play-for-play, give me Tannehill over Wilson; and anyone who knows me knows I'm no homer. Time may force me to change my mind on that, but I believe it today.

To be fair, Tannehill handled the 'Hawks secondary better than Peyton Manning did.

What the hell does that kid have to do to get some respect around here..lol

Play by play??. Thus far from what we have?

The bigger the situation, the calmer he gets, he's deadly in third down situations because he will not let a play die, he can absolutely function an offense from the pocket, outside the pocket with elite playmaking ability, he has a sense of the importance of every play, I do not sense that awareness yet in Ryan.

The thing is Wilson barely did anything until his team was up multiple touchdowns.

I don't think Wilson is bad. Hes obviously good and you can obviously win a suoerbowl with him.

I still think Seattle would be a MUCH scarier team with a handful of other QBs.

If Tannehill would somehow miraculously develop good pocket presence and elusiveness he could become a great one.

He just has to stop running right into the pass rush when his pocket is collapsing, he drives me nuts with that crap.

I know he is a smart guy, but it looks like he isn't a fast thinker. Some guys are just quick minded and decisive, and those qualities are really complimentary to QB's.

If Tanny can somehow improve in these areas he might take us to a few Super Bowls, otherwise, he may never get past good to become great.

    pocket passer Luva..

I think folks are having a hard time quantifying how valuable a player like Wilson is, and I mean the whole scope of what he brings to the table.

I remember a lot of folks saying that his type wouldn't get it done..

There are multiple ways to Make first downs and to score points, doing it at critical times trumps everything..

It's not just about finding an athletic Qb, it's about a balance between pocket functionality and elite playmaking ability, the kid has it.and then some..

    2nd year Qb..btw..

Id take Tannehill over Wilson every day and twice on Sunday. This year 2014 Tannehill will make every doubter pay.

Wilson will get respect when he actually has to shoulder some of the offense...

It's a Bleacher Report. That's like reading a 16 year old who started watching the NFL two years ago.

Don't judge him on one game. If you are doing that, then judge Peyton Manning as crappy because he did nothing in the SB until his team was "down" multiple TDS. But, for Wilson it wasn't that way the entire year. But, yes, he benefits from a good D.

However, you forget that Seattle's Oline is ranked as bad or worse than Miami's. But, Wilson is able to move around much more instinctively than Tannehill and makes a ton of plays - both passing and running - as a result of his legs and instincts. He keeps pass plays alive and he scrambles for first downs.

And Wilson made a ton of plays in the first half. Don't know what game you were watching. Or maybe there were too many 'hops' in the way! ;) Marshawn Lynch was shut down and Wilson drove the ball on Denver without a running game. He ran and passed his way down the field, keeping the ball from Denver.

One of the most overlooked features of the first half of the SB was that Seattle dominated the clock. They kept getting first downs (at one point it was 9 to 1) - and that kept their D on the sidelines; along with Denver's O. And that was mostly on Wilson and Harvin getting it done.

As DJ notes, Wilson did a lot with his legs - from scrambling to straight running plays.

Obviously, Seattle's strength was in it's D. But Wilson has been a central addition to this team from last year that has catapulted them to the SB title.

If Seattle only had a "mediocre" defense, actually make that even a "good" defense, then Wilson doesnt win a super bowl this year and probably any other year. The reason he won was because of Seattles "lights out" defense. I understand that "mediocre" or merely "good" defenses wont win many super bowls anyway, but the point I`m making is Wilson was not the reason they had the season they did. Not by a long shot. Wilson is a good, efficient QB but not a " carry a team on his back" type QB. Put him on any other playoff team from this year and he never would have made it to the SB. I`m not knocking him , I just want to see how he fares throughout his career.

    Career over 100 passer rating.

Nasty, you do realize the dude as a Qb in two years has 52 tds and 19 int's, that's better than 2.5/1

    he's got a 64% completion percentage..

Y'all know he has rushed for over 1,000 yards.

He's lead his team to more victories that any other Qb ever in his first two years..two playoff appearances, and one Super Bowl victory.

You just can't be ordinary or pretty good to accomplish those things in this league in your first two years..

    Clutch player..

Would every Qb have better stats with that defense playing behind you, that running back, and most importantly that venue?.. Yes..but when you isolate him I see a great player.

By comparing Russell Wilson's value as a player who took 1189 snaps to the value of an entire defensive unit featuring 30 players who took a combined 14,003 snaps...people are pretty much making the point that Russell Wilson is a very, very good player.

Wilson's legs easily elevate him over Tannehill at this point. I think you need to have a QB that can be comfortable moving around and picking up yardage when needed or offered. Tannehill has shown an almost complete lack of ability in this regard. Some on here will say it is just the coaching - time will tell. I would take Wilson over Tannehill at this point, Ryan still has a lot to prove and a long way to go.
