The cpu fan/cooler doesn't seem to be doing its job. I ordered a new one and have some thermal compound (artic silver 5) to apply. I just hope that will do the trick.
About time it's coming out. I'll be playing it on my new PC: 4670k cooled by Corsair H90 Hydro series, 16 gigs of RAM, Asus 770 graphics, 2 128 gig Plextor SSD's inside a Fractal case.
I did not. I just searched real quick for the best around that price range that I could get quickly. Looking at the one you mention, lol, it looks beastly.
Ugh. Maybe should have waited on a sale. Game stopping bug........5 minutes in. First set of elf battles and it requires me to hit the 'shield' guy again when he's already gone. Reloaded multiple times. Had to restart it. Doesn't bode well.
Haven't experienced any bugs in the PC version. Game is working well so far. The writing is vintage South Park, and the game itself is a fairly competent if basic RPG. It's basically a South Park episode with some interactive elements, which is a pretty good feat in and of itself. I'm having fun.
PC. Lot of reviews are starting to talk about the bugs. Kotaku refuses to grade it right now and won't recommend play because of it.
Played a couple more hours...smoother sailing. They actually list various issues encountered in the article. They aren't the only ones. You'd think with the nearly year delay they would have a more polished product. Getting some good laughs though.
Why? The delay wasn't to improve the product, the delay was because the publisher declared bankruptcy. Bankruptcy = no paychecks = no developers working on the game.
The Bankruptcy was only a part of the story. There were delays before and after also. Not really surprised though. Obsidian at this point has a pretty good track record of buggy releases. Just keeping my fingers crossed that I get through the rest fine. Damn good game outside of that.
Those delays were also related to the bankruptcy. There are legal issues that occur before and after bankruptcy is declared, particularly when selling off and buying assets as THQ did to Ubisoft. The legitimate delays were those that occurred in 2H 2013. The rest were legal or bankruptcy related.
Everyone's is. It's a writing trick to have a way to refer to the player character despite the fact that the player character doesn't have a defined kid. So, "douchebag", "new kid", etc are all just ways to refer to a nameless protagonist.
I know..I just thought it was good scripting. Clicked no thats not right and laughed my *** off. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
I just finished the abortion clinic and yah getting to that cap already. Having a blast so far....hopefully it'll have replay value despite the straight forward storyline. Only ran into one more annoying bug so far. Goth kid dance. Kept failing it hitting all the notes...had to google to find out that you have to use the arrow keys and not the wasd keys in the PC version. Of course there isn't a single hint towards such.
Just beat the game I guess. Lots of achievemens left, but I can't imagine trying to get everything anytime soon.
I'm about to head to the kingdom to the north. Every time I think the game is going to end, there's a plot twist to keep things going. Based on the events that occur just before traveling to the kingdom to the north, I'm really, really curious to see the game's final boss. Spoiler How do you top the boss fight that is Khloe Kardashian's Nazi zombie alien fetus?
Just beat it. Had a blast. Game is more or less what I expected, and complaints about its length totally miss the point. This sort of feels like a second South Park movie, though, and I'm starting to think we'll never get another movie.
