Wouldn’t make staff changes Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 3m Crazy week in Tennesssee: Monday & Tuesday, Titans reach out to possible candidates. Friday, safe with changes. Saturday: Munchak is out.
Thought they were going to surprise some people up until locker got hurt... Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Can't remember his user name, but he's the dude that got banned for posting drunk and calling people anti-Semitic n****rs.
Tennessee has bigger issues outiside of Munchak. He's a problem, but that roster on the offensive side of the ball isn't all that spectacular. Big questions at QB, WR, and CJ isn't going to last much longer either. Funny though... ownership wants him to go in a different direction with his staff, he refuses, gets the boot. Same situation here... Interesting.
Why is this a positive? Essentially eliminates the HC ability to control his staff, despite assurance from management. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
We have one unconfirmed and more or less vague report that Philbin refused to fire anyone. The things people just accept as gospel can really be ridiculous sometimes, especially with all the complete and utter BULL**** reports we've had the past few years.
I remember someone in another thread talking about how Philbin wouldn't refuse to fire coaches if it meant his job would be in jeopardy. Which still may be true but this shows it isn't crazy for a coach to be loyal even if it puts himself at risk (not that I really blame them).
Hell with other coaches getting canned after 2 years...if Im Ross I might take advantage of this time to clean house. Problem is...you almost want to have something in place. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
IF....Sherman is our OC next year and Philbin is still HC, then yes. As it stands right now, we have no idea what is going on so there's no indictments of anyone.
Maybe Munchak gets the Penn St job, but if he doesn't I'd sure like it if we hired him to coach the OL.
What we know is that nothing is going on and there are rumors Philbin refuses to fire Sherman....thats all we know right now.
Interseting...... I heard Munchak's name being thrown around here in State College before Obrien even resigned???
Munchak: "Sometimes rebuilding a team and its culture takes time, but I truly believe we were on the verge of great things." And that is exactly why I'm not willing to give up on Philbin yet. It takes time to build the kind of team you want.
Your right and he laughs every-time he posts you do realize what GMJohnson stands for don't you Gag on My Johnson....jk
Munchak is a Penn State alum, isn't he? Makes sense his name would've been mentioned prior to O'Brien leaving if he is an alum.
Would you really be surprised if a year from now you were saying "Philbin really coached better this year"? How could you say one way or another right now?
I'm surprised Munchak got fired because Jake Locker was lighting it up when healthy. Not sure how many games he was expected to win with Fitzpatrick at QB. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk
