Got to say I disagree. So, lets plau this scenario out. We barely squeak by the Jets yesterday and get into the playoffs. Most likely we show up unprepared to Cincy and get steam rolled. But, since we make the Playoffs Ross see's the organization as progressing (which it won't with this current regime), so he decides to retain all staff. Philbin feels no pressure to replace any of his staff and we are stuck with another unit of Ireland at GM, Philbin HC, Sherman OC, Coyle DC, etc. With that recipe we go year after year with a roster with holes, drafts with picks that never sniff the playing field, and contracts of players who aren't worth half that value. With the coaching we continually come out flat, unprepared, never make the right adjustements, and just terrible coaching on both sides of the ball. So, let me ask you how in any way shape or form would making the playoffs and remaining status quo make this team any better?
