Coming off of the success of the lucky interview, I decided to test my interviewing prowess by talking to another poster with multiple names attached to him. Perhaps better known as Griddlecakes, the widly unpopular moderator and myself sat down and discussed a multitude of topics. From how he handles bad posters, to what it is lke growing up a hermaphrodite in the hert of America. Enjoy... Lunch with GridIronKing34 1. You are in charge of Iowa for a day, what do you do? Let all cattle loose while making sure they are all wearing sunglasses. From there I will march my cool looking cow army to Washington D.C. to bring down the government... 2. What fashion style makes you want to punch someone in the face? Anything involving plaid. Who the hell would want to wear something that makes you look like a checkerboard? 3. How did you become a Dolphins fan? When I was six years old I idolized my babysitter. Let's just say by the time I was seven, I was a big fan of the Dolphins, Tecmo Super Bowl, and Mountain Dew. 4. Besides Griddlecakes, what are other nicknames that you have? I use to be called the Sherminator for a while because when I was younger (8th-9th grade in school) I kinda looked like him... I don't really think I look much like him now, but the name kinda stuck. But hey, it's not as bad as having the nickname Man-Goo I guess..... 5. What is your dream car? Mercedes SLR McLaren. Why? Because it's fast and it'll impress anyone that matters. 6. If you could be any other thephins.com poster for a day, who would you be and why? I would be Boomer so I could mess with everyone by saying that Hyde JUST sent me an e-mail saying that were were trading our entire draft for.......... Vince Young. Just to see Aqua4Ever04 cry, a lot. 7. Favorite team besides the Dolphins? San Francisco Giants... Even if Barry Zito was a waste of 126 million dollars... Oh and Dodgers suck. (editor's note: It should be pointed out that since coming to San Francisco 50 years ago, the Giants have won exactly ZERO World Series titles while L.A. has won 5 in that same time span) 8. What is the best way to travel? Swimming. It's how lucky made it to America so anyone can do it. 9. Who is the most famous Iowan of all time? John Wayne. Not even joking. We rule. 10. And finally, recommend a TV show that others may not be aware of. TV show? Screw that. I fully endorse Strong Bad Email from homestarrunner.com. It's something that everyone should view at least twice in their life time. Go there, now.
Much better than the Lucky interview. Which is surprising considering how un-interesting this "Griddles" character seems to be... Nice Job Sam
Alright, who the **** gave me a one. You'd think they'd let us moderators see who gave what for ratings, but noooooooooooo!
It was me...I thought Field of Dreams was overrated. Was Signs in Iowa? If that's the case, I don't like that movie too. Did I mention I don't like corn?
Cheer Up Grids. I did a little research and found some famous people from IA. Enjoy! Actress - Julie Adams Tom Arnold Nick Nolte And the Purple Teletubbie So you see Griddles there is a storied tradition of famous acting talent from the great state of Iowa!
So, GIK, you're an Idiot Out Wandering Around... when i lived in KC, we could tell them from a mile away...30 in the passing lane and rubber necking like crazy!
Very few people drive slow around here. It's usually at least going 10 mph over the speed limit. Hell, I got a speed ticket within the first three months of getting my license for going 30 over. And I hope you're talking Kansas City, Kansas... not Kansas City, Missouri....
PLEASE! don't insult me like that... you'll NEVER catch me living in Wyandot or Johnson county! intersting story, my wife and i were traveling through Ohio, near Cloumbus, and this idiot practically ran us off the road in BMW. we could tell it was a Kansas plate and immediately started complaining it was probably a Johnson county resident. sure enough, we soon caught up to them further down the road and they were from Johnson county.
