No alternates seem to have been announced yet. I think a few guys may be in that way too.

Impossible! We've been told that this team is completely devoid of talent.

Doesn't matter. None of our guys are gonna be playing in it anyway.

That's really silly. They play different positions. Pouncey making it had nothing to do with Starks not making it,
Which one of the DTs would Starks be an improvement on? Gerald McCoy, Buccaneers; Haloti Ngata, Ravens; Dontari Poe, Chiefs; Justin Smith, 49ers; Ndamukong Suh, Lions; Kyle Williams, Bills.

You have to take your hat off to Pouncey, making the Pro Bowl with the level of stiffs he has on either side of him.

I'm glad that Grimes and Fields made it... and a little surprised Wake and Pouncey made it though.

    Here is the full list.

All deserve it. Would have loved to see Clay in the bunch that was voted in as TE, but he did not stand a chance.

4 players isn't bad at all man. I'd like to see Tannehill make it as an alternate but that aint happening. Charles Clay deserves some mention as well.

So the #Dolphins and #Patriots each has 4 Pro Bowl players. #Bills have 2. The #NYJ have no Pro Bowl players.

I think Clay should at least be an alternate.
    Oh well.

That's a great group, Ngata is a bigger name than Starks but I think Randy had a better individual year, Baltimore's defense was better than ours this year so that might have played a factor.

Hmm, all Ireland guys, tbh, thought the OL played better with Garner at Center, seemed more on the same page.

maybe they ask Pouncey to do so much it surpasses the athletic ability of the other guys

Oddly enough, fields is leftover from Cam Cameron's tenure. Figures the only player left from that putrid regime is a punter, but at least he's good.

Starks has the 5th best overall grade according to PFF. I don't know who all got in, but you can make a strong case that he and Jurrell Casey from Tennessee should be the two main DTs on the AFC team with Marcel Dareus from Buffalo behind them.

I'm a little shocked at Cam Wake making it.
Not that he's had a bad year but it hasn't been Pro Bowl worthy.

If they were going to take a DE from the Dolphins O. Vernon has outproduced Wake actually.
Probably should have been one of the DT's in the middle that made it. Starks or Solai.

You know darn well that's not how the Pro-bowl works. Maybe all-pro is more objective, but not the pro-bowl. The pro-bowl is usually a lagging indicator.

Of course that's true but it does not stop people from talking about who probably should have made it V. who does.

Not to hate on Vernon or bust your chops, I love em both, but if you think Vern out produces Wake then you're not factoring in pressures, protections or run plays. Wake is the superior player, it's not even close IMO.

Let's chip in and get Fields a black watch. All good Dolphin punters should wear the black watch.

I'm not saying Wake isn't the better player but Vernon statistically has outproduced him this year.
Wake has two more pressures than Vernon and Vernon has 3 more sacks.
Tackles it's not even close with Vernon having 55 - Wakes 35.

Of course those sack numbers can be influenced by Wake being the focus of the blocking scheme when it comes to the DE's freeing up Vernon.
More tackles by Vernon could be influenced by teams seeing his side as weaker and running that way more as well.
I get all that but at the end of the day, statistically, an argument can be made that Vernon is having the more productive year.

Vernon is my guy, but even I don't think he's better than Wake.

That said, OV could have very easily made the Pro Bowl this year.

The franchise tag is projected to be near 12 million in 2014 for CB's.

This could be Grimes only year with the Dolphins. Just being realistic.

Could be. On the other hand Grimes is 30 now, so it may be a matter of which teams are able and willing to give him the kind of contract that'll guarantee a lot of cash up front but won't result in a lot of dead money if his play starts sliding down hill in a few years.
