Look at the video. It looks like Clay is open and Moore threw it to where he was open if he'd have just sat, but Clay keep going accross and took himself completely out of the play. Look at the highlights video linked below and tell me whose fault was that, Clay or Moore's. And as you're looking, the play before was amazing looking and that's something Tannehill needs to learn. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/?track=ss-sub-nav-sports-dolphins
Did Tannehill need to learn anything when he threw a perfect bomb that Hartline dropped that would have been a TD?
The bomb to Hartline and the poor throw for the INT is exactly what Matt Moore is. He is an outstanding deep ball thrower and really not much else
Not only that, but if the LB didn't pick it off, the corner would have. I don't know why Moore threw that ball.
Tanny doesn't have a problem throwing the deep ball. He just has a problem throwing the deep ball to Wallace, specifically.
My point is, yes it's on him. Do we really need a thread to defend our backup QB? He's a backup for a reason, because he can't outplay the starter.
Nah, when a Qb does not get first team reps they tend to not be on the same page as their guys This loss has my sick to my stomach tbh
My point exactly. When you are cold off the bench and had no reps, is it in your best interests to just chuck it up and pray for rain? Hit some short stuff and get a feel first, don't just jump in and mat the gas until you know the brakes work.
The route was a "read" route, MMoore can chuck it up with the best of them, as we saw with Bline, when your guy reads one thing, and you read the other, that boils down to just a lack of reps w/each other CC9 and MMoore just were not on the same page b/c of it, just one of them things.
According to a certain member on here, since the QB threw it, it's on him. I remember discussions about Henne one night after CH threw a pick, this couch GM on here insisted that it was CH fault even though it hit the WR in the hands.
If I recall correctly, Clay had SOME separation on the LB, and seemed to have expected the ball to be thrown ahead of him. If that's what was supposed to happen, then I believe the INT is on Matt Moore.
what he should learn from that (and I know you're being sarcastic) is that his timing with Hartline is fantastic on deep balls. Yet the actual deep threat in Mike Wallace, he cannot get in sync with. Why is that?
Marshall bailed him out so many times in 2011. He'd just throw it up into triple coverage and hope that something good happened.
