Gotta love ESPN though. Their highlights of Bosh was of him getting run over by Hibbert yet didn't show his game-tying three. Go figure.

Or him getting two quick fouls on Hibbert to get him out of the game.

Pacers *****ing about the refs dominated the rest of the highlights. That and Bron punking Chalmers.

Did someone actually just GIF spam something from a game that was decidedly not the most relevant of that particular date?

I only watch the Heat during the regular season when they're on ABC, ESPN, or TNT. Otherwise I just watch highlights/look at box scores.

I love basketball? Though I will say that the officiating the last year and a half or so is more and more resembling the WWE as the refs are basically pawns that think they are more meaningful then they are. Its becoming harder to watch in general where as the college game has gotten easier. The first thing they teach you in referee training is that the players are supposed to decide the game and that the best officiated games are the ones where no one even knows youre there. That doesnt mean you have to keep the whistle quiet, just that your quirkiness or personality shouldnt be outshining the players. *Looking at you Joey Crawford and Violet Palmer*

I would say the opposite. Bron went at RIO..RIO didn't back down..and Bron apologized during the game on camera, and then on twitter.

    RIO is a badass.

You know I read an interesting article in todays Wall Street Journal about how the trajectory of his shots leads to more fast break points and a higher FG%. Basically it stated that over the last 5 years possessions that follow Bargnani's 3 point misses leads to a 55% FGA (league average is about 45%) and that hes the first player ever to accomplish this. Couple that with the Knicks being a terrible fast break defending team and by golly I think Ive found the Knicks problem. EDIT: http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702303773704579266762885659706

The good news is Bargnani isnt having a bad year. He's the Knicks 2nd leading scorer (though its almost by default) and hes proven to be an above average (dare I say good) 1 on 1 defender.

Thad Young requesting a trade. While I'd love the Sixers to get good value out of him, I wouldn't mind seeing him go to a team like the Heat or Pacers as a 6th man either to win a ring. One of the classiest, hardest working team players you'll ever see, and a damn good 6th man to boot. I wish him nothing but the best wherever he ends up.

Surprised the media didn't turn Lebron and Chalmers into a headline about how Lebron knows his teammates can't get it done, is leaving for LA etc

Right but this is the media, they could spin it very easily to suit their purpose. Lebron apologized to Chalmers, but its easy to see the frustration with his teammates etc. Its finally come to a boiling point and so on.

    I never underestimate the media.

Brook Lopez: Out for the year after breaking his foot.
That sound you heard: All the nets fans hopes and dreams being washed away.

Brook has quietly become a top 3 center and the Nets best player (yes, better then Deron Williams). If they make the playoffs without him Ill be stunned because KG looks washed up.

No. Jason Terry was cremated and exorcised so that he might never rise again. Ben McLemore is a nice kid, he cannot be buried in the unholy ground of Terry's.

although the injury hurts, I dont see it hurting our chances to make the playoffs. it will hurt us in the playoffs. they probably go KG at center with Mirza going to PF. Blatche who has been playing great could also be the C. Add our rookie Plumlee , who for a rookie has handled himself well, getting extra time and it won't be the end of the world. We get AK 47 back next week and Pierce has had two games in a row where he looked like the Pierce of old. He finally seems to be playing like he cares

Certainly hurts but shouldnt be a crusher. Let's see how Kidd handles it

It still amazes me that the worst GM in NBA history, the one and only Billy King still has a job. Not only will the Nets be terrible for the foreseeable future, but they have no first round pick in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. LOL. King may go down as the worst GM in the history of sports period just for his work with the Nets, and that's not even counting his awful tenure destroying any chance Iverson had of getting a ring with terrible decision after terrible decision.

reality is they play in the east where one or two sub .500 teams will probably make the playoffs. Lol I think there are only three teams over .500 in the east currently

Making the playoffs isnt an accomplishment finishing under .500

This is exactly what I expected from the Nets. Not to say you can't turn it around, but if you want to be taken seriously you need to pass .500
