KB21 is very smart anf good with player analysis, however he has this idea in his head that our front office is some ABC Soap Opera where Ireland is the bad guy who somehow stays in power while committing heinous football sins and ****ting on everyonr he encounters.
Congrats on finding something to bash Ireland about while were on a December whinning streak, you must feel acomplished. We have free agent aquitions putting up numbers, 6th an 7th rounders doing work, an OL put together with washed up vets and practice squad guys out performing our probowlers, pulling a guy off another teams practice squad and saving the game.................but, that tweet though.
It is possible that she is just expressing the view of her husband, since he obviously isn't going to go public with any negative comments at this time. I guess we will have to wait until the season is over to see if he is upset with the Dolphins organization or not. He is a player the Dolphins need to sign to a long term contract and if he isn't happy at this time, it is unlikely he will want to stay with the Dolphins beyond this year. Hopefully that isn't the case and his wife is just expressing how she feels and not how her husband feels right now.
Semi related though... it should be noted that the Dolphins medical people are becoming more and more conservative when it comes to putting an injured player back onto the field. The Packers training staff is notoriously conservative in their approach to this. I'd imagine the Dolphins and Joe Philbin have brought some of that conservative nature here to Miami. I think we all want Grimes out there for the final two games, but if it meant making the playoffs and NOT having him available to play that first round, well that's cause for rethinking it. Groins are very tricky. Recall Dmitri Patterson in and out of the lineup this year due to it. But it's a damn shame Grimes is even nicked. He is having a strong year for us, we need him now, in the playoffs should we make it, and NEXT YEAR!
I appreciate her passion for Brent and the Dolphins, but she seriously needs to shut up already. She sounds like a stupid psycho. Calling out a fan for a joke that wasn't malicious in any way is cringe worthy. She's embarrassing.
The point that Monster and I have made here is how this could have very easily been just another misstep for Jeff Ireland and how he could have pissed off yet another player. This is the same GM that asked Dez Bryant if his mother was a whore. This is the same GM that kept Sage Rosenfels on the roster because he was afraid that the Raiders would sign him and Sage was divulge all of the Dolphins deep, dark secrets. This is the same GM that told Martin's agent that Martin should "punch Richie in the mouth". Basically, there is no limit to Jeff's inappropriate behavior.
She is a bit unhinged on twitter..but is a fabulous person, and pretty damn cool with the fans. She does ticket giveaways, does plenty of local charity and is generally a fun chick. She just gets very protective about her "Bae". That is all...no need for the name calling and insults. It was some ******* fan that said much more than the one tweet (he later deleted it). The guy also said that Grimes dogged it and sat out on purpose to save his free agency value. She then went nuts. The idiot than said "just kidding". yeah right.
Not in this case. Ireland may be an *******..but he has a group of players that are fans of his. Brent Grimes is one of them.
I like her and she does seem cool, but she also seems like a huge psycho as well. Then again, she is a female.
you both speculated without trying to find out the whole story. You, made up something with little to no evidence. So, no. Nice try though.
Just cause she gave you a handy back when she worked at Tootsies(before she met Brent of course) does not make her fabulous. Charitable...but not fabulous.
That's why I put the question mark. I had no clue what the tweet was about. But it seemed pretty serious.
I'll freely acknowledge that this tweet very well may have nothing to do with Jeff Ireland. And maybe at this moment in time Grimes is an Ireland fan. That being said, with Grimes signed to a 1 year contract, I wouldn't be surprised if Ireland botches the negotiations and he ends up somewhere else in 2014. You all can get mad at me all you want for my Jeff Ireland opinion. It's not going to change. I'm not hopping back and forth over the fence like some of you based on this team's week to week performance. I'm judging him on his 5 year track record of roster building/maintenance, team management and public relations.
Ummm, I'm not just gonna let that little nugget pass by.. These are his collection of players and coach that are performing, developing, and dealing with adversity.. If they finish this strong, think we all need to look in the mirror before we take such a stand against.
Three years for me, judgement at the middle and end of the season... The evaluation will really come down to whether we have the room to keep the majority of the team together with some space to add some Olineman.. I'm aware that just because this team is young and probably gonna make the playoffs, it doesn't mean that this will be the same team next year, considering the amount of free agents we have this year and the year following.. When the season ends we really need to figure out who we really need moving forward, and how new contracts will fit moving forward..we can't create holes and expect to build on this year.. We will need to sign Grimes..Solai..Starks..Clemons..Mckinnie...because of Taylor and Davis, I think we can live without Patterson and Carroll and still improve as a whole...
