I don't get how we are in if we win out, we need to win out and Balt to beat cincy so we get in or else Balt gets WC and Bengals get the division.

This might help motivate the Dolphins. Now they know they don't have that cushion and have to go out and eat Buffalo. A Raven's loss might have relaxed them a little bit.

  3. It will take a small miracle for the Ravens to beat the Pats.

If we win out, we finish 10-6.

If the Bengals win out, the Ravens will finish 9-7 at best.

If the Ravens win out, the Bengals will finish 10-6 (at best) and we hold the tie-breaker over them.

The miracle will be the Bills beating the Patriots. That's the only thing I struggle to see happening.

If only the Browns didn't blow that lead... or we didn't suck in the second half of our first meeting against them.

New England hasn't beaten a team with a winning record on the road this year. I doubt they do it this week against a team that is playing even better than New England has pulling out close games.

    Ummm please say you're joking?

If the Ravens lose week 17 that means they are a loss behind us. We have the same record.

Bengals win out: they're 11-5, Baltimore is 9-7, we are 10-6. IN
Ravens win out: They're 10-6, Bengals are 10-6, we are 10-6. IN on tiebreaker with Bengals.

If Dolphins win out and Ravens win out, there is a three way tie between Ravens, Dolphins and Cincy. All three with 10-6. Ravens win division with head to head over Cicy. Dolphins win Wild Card with head to head over Cincy.

If we win out, we're in... the Bengals losing this week is the sole reason for that.

If Baltimore loses to the Bengals they will have 9 wins, we will have 10. If Bengals lose to Ravens, they will have 10 wins but lose out to us because we beat them head to head.

If we win out and Cinci beats Baltimore we would have a better record than Baltimore

If we win out and Baltimore beats Cinci then we would have the tie breaker over Cinci

    I think.......

The Lions are a team that needs better coaching. The have as much talent as any team in the league. They should dominate the NFC Central.

I read somewhere that if we beat the Bills and the Ravens and Bengals both lose next week, we're automatically in. Is this true?

i mean for the lions to have that much talent in a division without rodgers and the bears with mccown at qb and still being 7-7

Only Todd does, and it's because I am old enough to be his pappy. What are you referring to? I get it now. Because I am so old I called it the Central instead of the North.

The Dolphins just need to beat two teams that they should beat and they are in the playoffs. There is no excuse for losing to the Bills again this year or losing to a Jets team with Geno Smith at QB.

If I were the GM of the Lions, I'd clean out that coaching staff. If they were well coached they'd be 11-12 wins a year based on talent.

I'm not sure I can agree

Stafford isn't a very good QB. Horrible mechanics and no feel for the game...needs to throw 20 yard passes on third and short.

Reggie Bush is good enough I guess, still makes infuriating plays but is generally solid snd can be explosive.

Calvin Johnson is usually amazing. Nate is a good WR as well, pretty good TE's.

Defensively they are weak in thr secondary and LB IMO

In thr end it mainly comes down to Stafford. They arrnt taking the next step with him.

All scenarios begin with "if we win out". Not sure how frigid Buffalo's gonna be, but some of those games in the snow last week, made those Pittsburgh conditions look downright balmy.

Just for that, we better whoop the Lions on Thanksgiving next year! I mean not to get ahead of anything, but does anyone really think they'll put the Bills against the Lions in a nationally watched game? It's the Dolphins or Bills since its an AFC team.

funny how the San Diego win on Thurs night is now all but a distant memory... thanks to the Bengals losing to the Steelers. What SD does now is irrelevant.

Maybe a better QB coach and OC would help him. Cannot imagine it would hurt him.

Detroit is a great of example of just how little a "great" wide receiver actually impacts the game. Calvin is the best receiver in the game, but his team isn't good. He's been on one winning team during his career.

No we win out we are in, it doesn't matter if Balt beat Cincy or not. If Balt beats Cincy then Cincy are out, if they lose to Cincy then Balt is out. This is because if Balt loses on they are 9-7 and we would be ahead of them and we hold the tiebreaker against Cincy at 10-6. We need to win out is the big thing.

Lions are the biggest waste of talent in the NFL. I just don't know about Stafford. He's average IMO.
