If you rewatch the play that Thomas int's the pass, before that we called timeout, Thomas was waving to reshad jones right when Brady was at the Los, "wtf do I do"... Lol, once the timeout happened, reshad explained, patted him in the head and he made the play.. That's why you call timeout when you have them to use..that's what pissed me off in the Carolina game..
Players making big plays is something that winning teams get every week. It is good players that are well coached put in a position to succeed. It is beautiful to see our Phins do this on a regular basis. This is a good team.
I have to give propos to Sherman here as well. The man called a hell of a game. Same to Philbin. Just a great day.
STUDS Thomas 1. Michael Thomas, Miami Dolphins cornerback: I loved the decision by Dolphins coach Joe Philbin to go for it on fourth-and-5 from his own 45-yard line, a decision that led ultimately to the winning touchdown. But that score would have been meaningless if Thomas did not break up two potential touchdown passes in the end zone on the Patriots' final drive. He denied receiver Danny Amendola with 27 seconds remaining and then intercepted Brady's pass to Austin Collie on fourth down. You might not find a less likely candidate to make a pair of big plays in a big game than Thomas, whom the Dolphins signed last week off the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad. He was needed for emergency depth but ended up sealing a game that put the Dolphins in strong contention for the AFC's sixth wild-card spot.
I quoted myself but meant to quote Keith lol I'm sorry but you've obviously never played QB or WR. Having played botg, I can tell you that is exactly where you want that pass. If he throws it over the top the defender has a great chance to deflect or knock the ball loose. Also no QB makes every throw. Brady made a rookie mistake on that last throw and never even read the covrerage, for example.
http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2...within-game/KsAKheKkk1g58rqLdsDlCM/story.html Brenner was “jump-setting” out of his stance — jumping off the line of scrimmage to try to neutralize Vellano, a tactic generally used for short, quick passes. But Jones and Vellano ran a lot of stunts — criss-crossing paths en route to the quarterback — and were able to catch Brenner off guard. “They were looking at the guard to see how he was setting,” McKinnie said. “I had to give my guard a heads-up because they were running stunts and doing things based off of how he was setting, and just had to make him aware of it. “You can take up two blockers if he can catch Brenner off guard. I had to keep telling him to step back vertically, instead of jump-setting.” The Patriots got only one sack in the second half after Brenner changed his technique. And Tannehill was more comfortable in the pocket, completing 13 of 18 passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns in the second half.
it´s a shame we already voided the last year of McKinnie´s contract, he would be pretty good for another year on this team
..... He threw it where Thigpen had a chance to make a play and the lb couldn't get it..... Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
